The used car dealership that I work with just picked this up and it is in very nice shape. Thing was sitting for some 25 or so years in a garage where some guy abandoned it and they family sold it off.

As I said if I was gonna get an older Lincoln this would probably be it :D

As I'm not an older Lincoln expert I don't know the year of this puppy?

1959 Continental Mark IV (possibly a 1960 Mark V). The last year of the Mark series until the return of the Mark III in 1968-1/2 (Ford kind of "pretended" that the '59 Mark IV and '60 Mark V didn't exist:D). That is my second favorite Continental next to the 1956/57 Mark II. You'll notice that the name "Lincoln" is nowhere to be found on that car. The Continental was considered a separate division at that time, even though it was just a re-dressed Lincoln. That is a beautiful car. It has the 430 MEL block V-8 with 375hp and 490 ft-lbs if I'm not mistaken. I want that car desperately!!!!!!!! I'll gladly trade you my '96 Mark VIII for it (seriously!!!).

Edit: Upon closer inspection, I believe it is a 1959 Continental Mark IV. If you look at the front fender scallops, they are smooth. On the 1960 model, the front fender scallops had 4 chrome strips arranged vertically. There are another couple of differences between the '59 and '60, but that is the most pronounced.

Accept for the Pass door this thing is in incredible shape from my first look at it. I will be back in a few to scope it out further

Just got some more info on this low mileage Lincoln. Seem it has been garaged since 1966 and thats kinda the reason it looks the way it does

Some pictures with a bit of daylight and one of the tail lights. I gotta ask him how much he is gonna be asking for it and get some better pictures of the interior and engine :D

Depending on if I go to Englishtown or not tomorrow I will try to get some better pics with my Hi Def camera? That and get a picture of the odometer and see just what it says :shifty:

Those things are worth a fortune when they're cleaned up.
Nice find.

Beautiful car, and the interior shots remind me of what I loved the most about them. The feel of those skinny steering wheels and those beautiful horn rings.

Yeah the bench seat in the front looks like you can fit 4 people without a problem almost. I wonder what kind of gas mileage this thing gets with how much it must weigh

Give or take, they weigh about 5500 pounds! With the 430 V-8 and that much weight and the aerodynamics of a brick, I'd bet it would get 12 at most.

I'm amazed at how big that trunk looks. I bet 15 people could fit in the back of that thing, looks huge. I do like it though, just not the color so much.

Ive got a few classic lincolns on the must own list:

mark II
62-64 Continental Convertible
mark VI coupe

idk why but those 3 are probably my favorite, along with the 96 LSC of course lol

Yeah I know of a body shop with a Mark II that has been there forever. Guy paid up front and now the car sits half finished :shifty:

Then another shop I used to work next to that had a Lincoln collection in the side lot. A hole bunch of suicide door Lincolns that sat there in the dirt so long they split in half when he went to scrap em :(
