Hey guys, it's time to start thinking about meets for this coming spring and summer.

Last year we tried a trip to a Drag Strip but it flopped...

Mike has talked about a Mod meet where we get together and help each other do some simple projects that would be able to complete in a day or weekend.

I talked to Debi and Mike about a Rock n' Roll meet and drive which I'll expand upon as this tread starts to take shape.

I know there is intrest in having some Midwest meets East and West of Chicago (Michigan or St. Louis areas).

Let's post some ideas and see what we can work out.

Joey, I'm taking it that a late summer picnic and cruise night will be scheduled again.

So Let's hear from the Midwest...

Chicago auto show is coming up, does everyone want to do that again this year?

A spirng and or summer meet sounds good to me, Chicago auto show maybe.
A Rock and Roll meet sounds great, want to hear more about that

Sounds like an idea for something soon... Last year was fun... You or Joey want to put that together? We would need to organize that pretty quick only about a month away.

I'm up for ideas for further down the road...

So I guess we'll meet for breakfast, go to the show, meet for lunch (beer :Beer ) at the show, and possibly grab a bite to eat afterwards. I'm guessing we should do this on a Saturday for you out of towners. The dates are Feb. 11th and 18th. The show opens at 10am and it cost $10 to get in. Give me some ideas on what date and we'll go from there.

I tend to like the second Saturday as well, only because I have been to shows on the first and second days and sometimes things aren't always setup.

I am waiting to hear what the deal is yet but there is this bar in central Wisconsin that Lynard Skynard comes to every summer. The bar owner is a friend of one of our Chamber members and said he should be able to get them to come to Boscobel for our Beach Party weekend.

I've been talking with the Chamber member to see if we could organize a Cruise type event. Basically a Car show at one of our local parks.

For LvC members I would hope it would be a chance to show off some Lincoln oh and Cadillac style and flex some luxury muscle.

I'll let you guys know soon if the LS (Lynard Skynard) sorry FreeFaller not Lincoln LS, thing is going to fly this summer.

Keep us informed Rich.......

If nothing else, I would be up for a trip up to Boscobel for a Saturday picnic. I am open to hosting an event down here. I am big into a 1/8th mile track about 25 miles from here.

We could always do something at the track too.

Mike the track idea sound good.. I am still waiting on the Lynard Skynard thing. I do know that we will have a Beach Party with live bands. A local car club is planning a car cruise before the party. From what I know right now the cruise is open to anyone and will be doing a tour of the area. I would guess about a 50 mile cruise which would include roads along the Wisconsin and Mississippi Rivers. Very scenic drive and no city or express way driving (actually highway driving at highway speeds). Cruise is going to end at the Band area where from what I know right now cars will be displayed.

If this sounds interesting Let me know and I'll get us involved in the cruise.

My back yard is open for Camping (fairly secluded). Beach Party is scheduled for July 16th.

Well if you distant travelers like Debi, Mike, Serg, Brent (maybe) want to do it. I'll start setting it up. It will be that weekend in July 14th - the 16th. I'll set up more than just the Beach Party. We'll have a lot of fun.

I'd want some Commitment for about 5 members. Anyone who would want to save money and camp in my back yard is welcome. I have a very large secluded back yard. You can even have a fire. We do have a very nice formerly Super 8 Motel (remember Boscobel is small) but we can work lodging out as we get closer. I do have some room in my reckroom also.

Pepps it will cost you only Gas money and a just some extra for fun. I'll have a place for you to stay.

Hey let's get Torque to make the trip. He made it to Debi's...

Cool thanks Rich, I wll send Torque a pm tonight about it

Wow! That would be great torque.

First off Depending upon where you land. You wouldn't need a car. You could coordinate with someone coming from the Chicago area you could land in Chitown and hop a ride.

If you land in Madison Wisconsin I'll come and pick you up. But arrangements could be made.

What about world ford challenge in early may? It's in STL, and i think a lot of us might already be going. really good racing, tons of vendor hookups.
