I want an LS and i want boost!!

ok guys im a performance kind of guy and well since ive been doing led

interior conversions for a car i dont even own i started to get the bug to own

one,yes,yes i am in search of an LS but not any old LS an LS that i can tune,

boost and comes with a manual trans,i want it black with ether black interior

or gray,fully loaded whatever that is on an LS and i want it sexy clean.

am i being crazy?will i ever find it?and do performance manufacturers offer

many upgrade options for our(trying to get used to it)cars.

im all about being different and where i live there arent many LS's so me

owning the cleanest and boosted lincoln would have the usual civic,suburu

owner scratching there head saying holy crap that lincoln is modded!

that is my dream my friends.

is it doable or what????

whats your opinion?

Get something other than an LS.

So you want to boost a V6 gen I LS with a rare manual transmission that parts arent available for? Good luck.

Anything is possible with money. You could probably do it to an LS for 10K, plus whatever it costs you to buy the LS. Or you could buy a 2004 manual GTO that already makes 400hp and boost it for even more power.

i know they come with a manual trany so thats good.

performance parts i dont know,boost can be built if not available in a kit

so where am i wrong

i can do the gto but the LS is so much more of a sleeper besides its better looking then the gto

Last I checked the v8 supercharger kit (parts alone) was about $4,500. I'm not sure about the v6 and what options there are... Yes I agree with what was said above, don't get an LS if this is your dream lol.

The LS only came with a manual for gen I, and only the V6. They are very rare, hard to come by in the first place. You also want it in certain colors, and there are no performance parts for our cars. All we have are intakes and springs.

On top of all that, it needs to be low miles if you want to boost it. And the transmission is hard to find parts for. Don't think it would handle any boost before it blows itself, and the whole project would be over. You could have searched the forums and found this all out.

A debadged GTO looks like a cavalier and is worlds easier to boost, modify, and has tons of aftermarket. Not so much the car, but the engine. And any parts no available in the US can be found overseas from holden.
 
its been done. with enough time and money it can be done again.
with lower and boost and careful driving, i'm sure the drivetrain would be fine.
you wanna get crazy... well. you have to pay to play.

These cars were very low production. Not much out there for them. it would be easier to boost a gen II V8, the transmission can handle more power. gen II's are easier to find in the color combo you want and with lower miles. But you have to deal with VCT.

You wont find a bolt on kit with a tune from Roush like many other cars. Everything will have to be custom.
 
Depends on how much work you want to put in it, but if I were to ever chose to get wild with my LS I would LOVE to build it into a 4v mod motor LS backed by a t56.

get a nice cheap engine/harness from a Mark VIII, find a used Terminator bottom end and eaton setup, and build away. Parts are plentiful and with the 4v modular and t56 the sky is the limit (actually its your rear diff, lol).

Some guys I work with at Ford built this back in the day for lap of america, its got a 4v 4.6 backed by a tremec.

The Gen II V8 engine stock makes almost the same power as a 4v mod motor. If the internals could be beefed up, it could be a beast.

An aviator engine would be a hell of a powerplant for the LS.

Too bad they could never get the cooling system sorted out...... IIRC, they also had issues with the electronics.

Oh yea.... My name's on a sticker there somewhere.

I got an 06 GTO black paint and black interior for sale.

It is auto, though.
