hey i think i finally found my mark, its a 98 black on black LSC with only 22000 miles! thats not a typo, 22,000!!! it has the heated seats but no moonroof!!! :( which i wanted. i can buy it for 7000.. what is everyones thoughts on the moonroof??? PLEASE HELP!! i have to decide befor i loose it!
 
Moonroofs are just a big hole in the roof that will just eventually leak and a maintenance hassle. I say don't worry about it and buy it as is
 
id say go for it, just be sure to check the problematic parts (blend door, power tilt\telescoping wheel, hids, rear neon, etc)
 
Its well worth the 7k as long as all the suspension stuff is good. Airbags, ball joints, etc etc will dry out and rot even on low mile cars.
Now I am a big proponent of OEM moon roofs but my car has a really nice one that some people on here like better then their stock moon roof and you can get one like mine for around $1500.
 
Maybe $7000 but personally I wouldn't go above $6000 ...

Just because it sounds good and some of you may think wow ... it's still not worth $8000.

Best thing about Mark VIII's is they are cheap to buy ...
 
Mileage isn't as big of a factor to me as it is to some, personally I'd buy 2 great condition 100k mile cars for the money..
 
I'll sell you an aftermarket Webasco sunroof assembly with matching headliner, and you can have it put in. My Black 98 came without a sunroof, and the dealer put one in aftermarket.
