Ok, this first video is on flat ground, good pavement and also with the three 10's and 2 amps in the trunk. The car ran 0-60 in 6 - 6.5 seconds but anyway, I was accused of running it downhill lol.

So on the 18th, just two days ago, I clearly showed the road I was about to get on and make a run except this time, it has a little bit of an incline but any moron can see that it's not downhill. On top of that, I was on my way back from Wal-Mart with a sh!t pile of Mountain Dews in the trunk (Jamie knows how I buy them) and other groceries, plus the system is still in the trunk. I'm still being accused of running downhill and being a liar :shifty: but this guy has been modifying Marks for 5 years. I don't know about y'all but I thought my stock Mark came with 3.08 gears, not 3.07's...but he's been modding them for 5 years. Must have lost a gear from the brain cell somewhere. Might be 3.07's, hell, idk...

The only thing I have done with my car is swap ECU's and the sun-of-a-bitch is just fast like it is, for a pure stock Mark. Stock exhaust, 225/60/16 BF Goodrich Pro Touring tires. Yes, I know there are much faster Marks than mine but they are modded in some way or another. That's it and now, the proof video. Videos don't lie! Maybe it's not right on 6 sec but I will make another without the subs and amp in the trunk and on FLAT ground again just to show it can hit 6 or better. I have already shown it but I messed up and didn't show the road first. Now this f a g claims I'm going downhill. BTW, this particular road that gives me good hook is right around the corner from the Madison City Police Station. They radar it quite often but I had just been down through there and knew I was clear coming back.

I think some marks are just "faster" than others. I had a 96 and a 95. The 95 was a junker. Falling apart and looked like crap. To this day I usually forget I even had it. But it was FAST. I think it was faster than my 96 that had an Aviator engine in t with Mach intake and custom tuning, etc.

Why not just put it on the track and give out copies of the time slip
Also a video isn't timing lights or accelerometers being recorded
Nevertheless its a fast stock mark

A. because I know I was on flat ground and don't like being called a liar when I know what the car really does.

B. Because I felt like it, like many many others on here have done. That's like me asking why people put blowers, superchargers, headers, ect on their cars. Unless you hit the track all the time and win money, what good is it going to do you? Might be good for a car show or something. I never ask anyone why they spend the cash doing it though. It's their car and if they want to spend money modding, then I'm happy for them. It's a hobby that they like to do and enjoy.

The closest track to me is about 15 min away and it's only an 1/8th. If this would prove something, I'll take it to the track. You are correct though, the video's aren't dead accurate but damn....

Am I wrong about the 3.08 gears? I didn't think they had 3.07's but I could be wrong.

Yeah, I never thought of that one. Someone was pulling me lol. He blocked me from commenting his video but here is his claim. I never seen so much sh!t in my life.

base = 280hp Now it has an LSC exhaust that's been modded. That's 15hp right there. (stock LSC exh was worth 10) U/D pulleys they claim 12hp... doubtful.. 5 maybe. So now we're up to 300. MAF is supposedly 15.. again i doubt it. Maybe 10. Then SCT tune is worth 20hp on a completely stock car. Intake and exhaust mods that i have plus having it tuned for 93 octane instead of 91 bring it closer to 35hp. All of that brings it to 345. Even if it's 15hp off, that's still a 50hp increase.

Screw him, who cares. And yes, some Marks are for no reason just faster. Sappers 93 is just insaine and pissed me off. I hated that car cause it always had some issue and its interior made me vomit...... but I digress. Even with a tune, exhaust, gears and TL his 93 would still sit right next to (and sometimes pull away) from my 98 before the blower install.

Can't get him to understand that. After I seen all the comments he was getting, then I see it as it says under your username. Haters gonna hate! :p and he's hatin right now. He'll be ok though. My 94 was quick, or so I thought and then I got the 95 and it was quick but nothing like after swapping out the ECU's. idk, the car is just fast and I can't help it. I believe if I pushed it, I could squeeze out a 5.8 or 5.9 without the box in the back.
 
Remember dude there's always a retard that will bust our balls. Don't let him get to you. There are MK8 owners on this very page that will bust your balls. If I was to pay attention to everyone that has nothing more to do in their life but "hate" on someone else's car I'd go crazy. I love my Mark no if &'s or but's about it. :D
 
some are fast. some are slow.
but most importantly, people are teh interwebz are dumb.

I think I will, just for the fun of it. As for his 25-70 punch video, for all I know, he was waiting to top a hill before he punched it and a 25-70 video sure as hell isn't proving anything. He seems to know a lot about downhill runs and it still took him 4 sec or better to get from 25-60. People like that just get under my skin for some reason.

Seriously though, I think it would be fun to go to the track, even though it is only an 1/8th mile. I would have to find someone to video all of it without messing up. One thing about it is that track slips don't lie. Might even win some cash while I'm there.
 
I have ADyno on my phone and while the dyno portion is a little wonky cause you need frontal area, drag, EXACT weight, shift RPM, start RPM, maxc RPM to make it read correctly the 0-60 and 1/4 mile parts work very well.
You have to have a mount though cause its impossible to hold the phone still otherwise.

Remember when we ran my 98 against your 93 and I had gears, exhaust and a tune? My car was doing 0-60 in 6.4 seconds then. Your 93 was still a little quicker when it could hook.... which was almost never...... but it happened that one time..... at band camp.... no pull the flute out of your pussy.

I'll have to try to get that app because the Garmin Mechanic app sucked for what I was doing. The phone I have is huge with a 4.5" screen and it clips right into the dash and holds perfect but now I need that perfect app.

The run below was done just a little bit ago when I took my son to buy Gears Of War 3 at Game Stop. He likes going fast and then he tells me to stop. Anyway, the run sucked, I had absolutely no hook at all. Ass end shifted to the right at take off but it still looks to be a 7 sec run. I say that because I didn't actually start moving until the 13 sec mark. Same exact street and spot as before minus the groceries and ten 8-packs of Dews in the trunk. :) Next run will be at a strip where I can get some hook and get a slip printed. Yes, my kid is safe and playing his game.
