I am back

Hey guys. I am back. Been off line for almost two weeks Received a NASTY virus in an infected e-mail. It shutdown my firewall and my anti virus programs. Then corrupted my hard dirve and my picture files. Had to erase the hard drive and reload all my programs. Lost ALL of my pictures.

Do have a new mod on the LS. I got the Magnaflow catback installed. Working on a new mod currently.

was the virus the windows recovery station, thing. I got it and couldnt figuire out were it came from because it was only on one of my comps. It took 3 weeks to actually find and destroy it. I was pisssssed

oh and by the way, you probably didnt lose anything, The virus just hides them so you cant find them. you go in to the properties and click show all and you'll see all your files and the virus hiding out. Most virus scanners won't see it. i used both adaware and malwarebytes to find it, and you have to go into proccesses and stop its processes then scan so it wont shut down the scanner. then go and unhide in program and files and everything will be back

The virus corrupted all of my picture files. No way to save them. If I tried to save the picture files. I would be saving the virus too.

Rollin, it sounds like you've got a lot of pics you don't want to completely use. There are a few data recovery software utilities out there that can get them back. I've recovered data from several laptop hard drives that did not boot or showed the files within the operating system if they did. I'll check to see what I've got installed at home.
