how would you invest 5k for more hp?

It's lunch time at work and ebay is blocked. But I thought you wanted my Gears, Traction lock and Exhaust first. You also had inquired about the coil conversion. If you need all these and wanted to make payments why would you be inquiring about C-heads? Also why did you stop replying to my PM's. you started the process. If you changed your mind just say so? Very frustrating.

How would you invest 5k for more hp?
I could do so much to my car with $5000 bucks!!! The thing is, I would not just put it all in the engine. I'd try to get the engine up to about 320hp at least. Maybe get the intake and heads extrude honed, install a set of good headers and exhaust, better cams, larger throttel body/MAF, etc. But I would focus more on the chassis/suspension. I'm not so much interested in straight-line performance as handling. I want to be able to take a curve without the typical understeer, oversteer, and excessive body roll these cars tend to exhibit (LSC's handle better than base, but not by much). I would use some of the money to upgrade the shocks to magneto-rehological electronically adjustable units and get some bigger sway bars. And of course, new air springs. Then I'd get a set of chassis braces to stiffen up the floorpan a little. Then some bigger/wider wheels/tires to help it stick to the road better. By this time, I'll probably be out of money. But if I had it, I'd also get a 6-speed auto from a Navigator and try to adapt it to the Mark VIII. That would hopefully have the added effect of increasing gas mileage as well as performance. Basically, if I had the money to spend, I'd have the best handling Mark VIII in the world, even if it's not the fastest.
