How to unplug HIDS ? HELP!!!

i just followed the wire back and went to the plug. iirc its just a push type one and you push a plastic tab on the clip and it comes apart. just like all the other lights i think

the hid plug, on the 96 LSC lights at least, are not designed to come apart. i took the end cap off, pulled back the rubber insulation, and used 3 paper clips to pop the clips apart. pain in the ass i tell you.

unless you really need the plugs for something, i figure you would be better off replacing the plugs with something more civilized.

here a few i just snapped, i froget which ones are highs and hid's ( ithink maybe the last few are hid) but they just had the little plastic guys to push on to release (pictured). i hope these help

He is talking about the big ugly connector on the right in those pictures... They are not meant to be unplugged. The big plug is the low beam. The other connector is for the High beams and is the same type of connector as a O2 sensor.

You need a skinny pick to get them apart, a pita on the car ;)
You can tweak/shave the lock tab once it's apart, but then you'd better put a ziptie on it to make sure it stays together after :)

I got 1 apart but other not moving. The one I just wiggled and it came apart no problem. I am selling the HIDs so do I just cut the wires?

cut it and hardwire the new one in. Thats what I did, and actually gets a better connection that way if you do it correctly.

Its high voltage, its not meant to come apart easily. Get a pick or two as I mentioned...
