how to move a car with no rear end?

squeezed a couple more pennies out of the car I'm parting, guy bought the whole IRS but hasn't removed it yet. Any suggestions?

I was thinking maybe to move it around on a jack or engine hoist?

Or should I just take it out of the garage and remove the rear end in the driveway then the scrap people can just drag it onto their trailer?

Floor jack will be your best bet to move it around. Few of us once moved a car a good 100ft into a shop with no rear end. :lol:

FLoor jack works wonders. Used it all the time back in the shop days, into the paint booth, out, and in, and out again.

Movers creepers work wonders and can support up to 2000 lbs each with a good set. That being said the rollers you can put under the tires of cars and roll them around the garage would work just the same, I just bought 2 sets of the car rollers at Harbor Freight for 40.00 each and i also got a 1000lbs movers creeper for 11.99 (it held up to a complete engine being set on it for a week).

I agree. You can make your own out of 2x4's or buy cheap ones at harbor freight.

Just get the rear end out and then call a flat bed and he'll drag it up on the truck. I done a Mitsubishi Mirage like that once. I took off all 4 tires and rims and told him to take it and he pulled it right up on the bed and drove away. Metal slides on metal pretty good if his wench has some strength.
