hid/halogen hybrids

these are lights i am doing for jherald420. i took a set of halogen housings i had, cut the lenses off, and he sent me a pair of hid lenses in pretty crappy shape. i rechromed the housings and i am working on the lenses now. i am almost finished with the lights, i got one lense polished tonight, i will glue it back to the housing tomorrow and then polish the other lense and glue it also. this is what i have done so far, i'll take final pics with my real camera when they are 100% finished. turing out pretty cool though. the only thing i am not sure of, is why these hid lenses have horizintal lines across the lenses, i have never seen factory hid lenses with any lines, maybe these were early production hid lenses or maybe they were late production, either way they are hid lenses!

well your lenses wont look like these greg these are hid lenses! yours will look more like this. this is what they look like before and after i do them, this isnt the one you sent me, they arent this bad lol!

Those lines are odd. I had two sets of HID and never saw that either. I bet sonny, if he is still around, would know. I think he bought ever used/new set on the planet.

I thought they had the lines on them right at the beginning of the 95 production year and then the mold was changed to do away with the lines. I have seen the lines before on some sets that were sold on eBay and yes, Sonny would be able to back this up because I remember when he was buying all of them. I was watching him in 2005 outbidding anyone and everyone.

I have also heard that they only came on 96 DA's (if purchased) so really I don't have a clue which is right.

They came from a junkyard gen 1 LSC... bought em from another member.

I have had at least 8 New sets and at least 8 used sets , and this is the first set that I have seen with those lines !
