Ok, so...I'm buyin hid lights today for the fogs. Now, my fogs r blacked out and I was thinkin throw some pinkish hids in them, but do u think it'll shine thru the tint a diff color or would it be ok?

maybe purple..... or a darker pink if that possible but then i would call it purple:shifty:

And where have the ppl with hid fogs mounted the ballasts?

when i did mine, under the bumper theres a "tray" if you want to call it that, it has like 3 slots in it to drain the water, there is one on each side, i set every thing in there and zip tied it so it wouldnt move around, where did you buy it from?

ebay. Hidlighting168. I was gonna get em from ddm but they didn't list any color temp past blue when I checked

Yup they're going to be purple-pink ish....

Why would you want them pink?

Cuz just about every car in bmore has blue hids and only a few w/ pink or purple. And the other LS that stays on the sam block as me when I'm in jersey has blue lights, and the same color ls I have...so can't copy that man

why don't you get white ones:confused:. do you happen to know how the Kelvin scale works? check this link.
there is a reason most people do not get anything above 10k, it's because the further you go away from the 4k's up, you actually get less light output. now, 30k, that's just some plain o' stupid light output that was made for people who only wish to show their irregular colors. but believe me, with PINK fog lights, and the fact that you have your fog lens tinted, you really are not doing anything as far as helping you see at night. you were better off "copying" other people than buying worthless pieces of cr@p. just my 2 cents.

i dont really think he wants them to help him see at night, but just for looks, seeing as how they are tinted, besides i do agree with him that it does get old seeing the same things all the time and hes being different, but its your car, but i wouldnt personally do it but it might not even look that bad

I know how the scale works. And the light output aint really what I'm worried about, sorta. My cuzzin's car had pink lights and I must admit, there is no point in having that color cuz I couldn't really see ish drivin at night in his car. But for some reason I jus wanted colored lights. I still may jus buy the bright white bcuz that wwaass my original plan

Oh yea I was going to mention that too... First off that is a random pink panther...

Also your sig is GIANT

Yea...about that...that's at my grandma's house. My uncle drew that on the wall some years back. And about it being huge, I have to get to a computer to size it down, cuz this pos blackberry don't do that type of thing

to each his own. i had 10k's and once I got in an accident because i couldn't see well in the rain. i switched to the 6k's and they are much better. i still wish i would have gone with 4300k's though. like mentioned prior, it is your car and if it's just for looks then it's good that you at least know that they will not produce enough light to actually help you see at night over what the whiter ones would.

Hey bro, I have 12k hids in my headlights and foglights and I don't see many people with them. Turns night into day. You can click on my link in my signature to see what they look like. Post pics when they come in.

believe when i tell you that the 6k's help you out even in the rain, at least comparatively. take my advise with a grain of salt ;)

i have 6k's in my lows and fogs, it is a lot better then the stock bulbs, i also get a lot of cars flashing me

SlickLS-ill post em up, right after I get em and figure out where to mount em exactly

Bearsfan-i stay flashin ppl, well when I'm on the highway, but not cuz of lights, cuz them mofo's don't kno how to keep outta the left lane

^ +10 ...does the scale even go to 30k??? ... i thought it stopped at like 12k  ...and even then the color was something like a purple-pink-lavenderish ... i have 4500k from DDM tuning... and they work great...i can see better than before. simple as that... thats the whole point right?

...if you go with dark blue, purple, pink, etc.... good luck - i just dont see the point...

..P.S.... WTF is good with everybody and their eBay HID kits??? DDMTuning has got slim ballast HID kits in any color for $39.99 + shipping.... with A LIFETIME WARRANTY!!!! ...im just throwing it out there:D

Once you look under your car, you will see the perfect spot on the frame rail. The ballast should come with a double-sided pad to stick it to it. If not go to walmart and buy the pads from 3m. I also used zip ties just as a back-up.
