ok i am done with this thread now lol damn

What was the main reason for all the part outs?

for money. i started parting them out in 99, they were fairly young and parts were worth a lot, i could get them cheap and make alot of profit. most of them that looked nice were certificate of destructions that failed salvage rebuilds by the state of florida. once that happens its nothing but a parts car even if it drives and looks perfect.

Awesome Thread Man! Thanks for posting those pics!!! The Sinister Black 97 is one of my favorite Marks ever, loved the red stripe on the black wheels and the custom engine bay.

if ryan wanted to sell it, i would buy it back from him in a heart beat. i do miss the car, but i got something planned that i am not going public with just yet hee hee!! probably gonna get me in trouble in the end but oh well, i only have one life.

those pics were only a sliver of the cars i ripped apart. i have a bunch of disc's in my bedroom closet with so many photo's but i would have to save all the disc's to the computer then upload them all screw that this crap took me long enough lol. i was just looking through them all trying to rmember the stories behind them all and crap. glad i gave it up though, they are memories and thats how i want it to stay lol i would never get back into that crap again it took way too many years away from my wife and my kids.

are you that worried, have you ever seen half of the mutated tards that frequent this site lol, you are a calvin klein model on here.

Way kewl, Jamie. I recognize that shop! Nice pics, but I'm not so sure I would have messed with those two engine fire ones; they look pretty torn up!

I don't why you didn't grab a nick like "Mark8Man" or somethin' along those lines. lolol

Nice thread Jamie! That's a lot of Marks. Was that picture of me on there really neccessary? Ha ha.

Nice car, Calvin!

See? I can crack myself up, too! :D

Damn Jamie, I wonder if the body shop up here in Minnesota that repaired my Lincoln in 2008 was in contact with you. I swear I remember the body guy saying that he got parts from a guy in Florida! LOL I needed a fender, and two bumper covers. I know for sure the front one is some shade of red. I know, probably too far back to remember. The name of the place is Extreme Paint.

If so, mad props to you for your years of service because now Humpty Dumpty is back together again. You would never tell by looking at my car that it teeter-tottered off of a cement barrier on the freeway. But they had the damn thing for almost a month and a half so I was expecting nothing less! LOL I think that guy probably searched for parts on my car more than any other car he has ever repaired. Damn collectors! :D

Hey Jamie, ask Santa to bring you a 98 blk on blk LSC.

Or a blue one.

So, Jamie, you said you started parting these out in '99. Were you into Mark VIII's before you started working with them or was being around them and parting them out what got you interested in owning them?

I bought my first Mark VIII parts car in May, 2004, and bought my '93 sometime around July, 2004, so I actually had a parts car before I had my Mark VIII. I was into Marks before then, though. My parents bought their first Mark VIII ('94 champagne) in 1997 when I was 11, then traded it on the '96 toreador red LSC (that they still have) in 2000, so I was around Mark VIII's from a young age and it was love at first sight for me. I mean, imagine, I was 11 years old, didn't even know Lincoln made a sporty car, and was going from dealership to dealership with my parents since they'd decided to trade in their '86 Towncar for a newer Lincoln. So we were taking out Towncar after Towncar for test drives, until they take out this 2-door sportscar like nothing I had ever seen before, and it surprised the hell out of me when they actually bought it. Then, a few years later, when my mom decided she wanted a red one, I was the one who found the one they have now for her. I was 14 and would pick up Auto Traders everywhere I went.

That grey/silver/pewter gen 2, below the bio-hazard car, is really nice looking. Always loved that color! Now to add some gun metal rims on it. :D

this is the quick version:
in 1998 my father in law bought his first mark VIII, he had wanted one since they came out in 93, in 99 his buddy steve bought one at the auction in connecticut, it was an opalescent white 93 with ebony interior, it needed some stuff but it was a good running driving car, well steve owned a body shop, behind the body shop was a green 93 and a black 95 that were both totalled, steve told us for 600 bucks we could have both of them and use the parts to fix my father in laws, so we took what we needed, and then looked to see if parts sold on ebay for them, there were lots of parts, so i pulled them both in my garage and stripped them and listed everything on ebay and made nearly 5 grand profit off the 2 totalled cars. the rest is history we kept buying them and parting them out. i was never into them even after i started stripping them, i started in 99 but didnt get my first one until 2003, the white one i posted above in my personal cars. i liked his 93 when he got it, but i didnt want to own one, but in 2000 he sold the 93 and bought a toreador red 97 lsc, that was the first time i layed my eyes on a gen 2, it was all over after that i was in love and the rest is history.

Nice thread! And of course, as soon as I get mine, you decide to get rid of all your damn parts and the shop and wtf! You need to look into doing something with the ceiling in the garage and throwing a small lift in there. That way, I can drive down for a few weeks and we can get everything done to this tank that needs to be done, and it'll be easier on us.... primarily you... but that's ok.
