Help me find 97SilverLSCcobra

I need some help in finding Daniel (97SilverLSCcobra). I think I might be getting scammed/robbed. :(

Daniel is a long time user of LVC under the username 97SilverLSCcobra. I sent him some money, $250, on 10/18/10 to buy me a set of rims. Since that he has not sent me a set of rims or sent my money back. He doesn't answer/reply to e-mails, texts or phone messages and his LVC PM is full. The last time he did communicate with me, he told me the rims were stolen from him and he was going to send my money back.

I've had Mark VIII's for 14-years and have been going to Mark VIII message boards for just about as long. This is the first time I've had something like this happen with another member of a Mark VIII board.

Does anybody know him in person, or better than I do? Can anybody help find him and to get my money back?

NoLimit95 lives close to him I believe, perhaps send him a pm
 
I was following some of his progress thread, he hasn't updated in a while, nolimit was talking about racing him so I figure he lives close
 
Yes, I'm about 15 minutes from where he lives but as far as knowing his exact house or street, I have no clue. I never went to his house but he did come to mine.
He borrowed a fan from me and I do remember one night I had my tv on in the bedroom and I have a camera outside that has an eye on the porch and driveway area and I saw a car pull in and then it backed out within one min. I had the camera set down on PIP so it was small and I didn't get a big view of who it was. I went outside the next morning and my fan was leaning up against the wall. I can't say for sure that it was Daniel or his wife / gf

I also know where he bought the rims. They came from Decatur, AL. and I do know that he did buy them. He also bought other stuff from the man but I don't know what all he did get but anyway, since that night I had the car pull in my driveway, I haven't heard anything from him at all. If I could help more, I would but that's all I know.
 
On Oct 20th I got this PM from him:

A guy from here sent me money to buy him some immaculate painted ten spokes for his car and I was outside cleaning the hell out of them for him. i drove an hour and cleaned them spotless for him because i'm a nice guy! i am not getting a penny for doing it! on top of missing out on what i needed to make my car run right! but like i said oh well. i won't ever help chicken out, with him knowing that i needed one that is for sure!

It was in reference to the XCal I sold to Chicken. He was a little upset Chicken got it first. So I am sure, based on the info here, he had the rims and was at one time getting them ready.

Could you maybe PM or e-mail him and maybe find out what is going on? Any help would be appreciated.

oct 18th....hmmmm! A few months back, I sold some wheels to a fellow member and it took a little time to get everything straightened out but at least I kept in touch with him. I guess I would start to worry about now???? Good luck and I hope you can resolve it.

I can PM him for you but I seriously doubt he would answer mine if he's not answering yours. When the fan was brought back, I'm not sure who really dropped it off on my front porch. It could have been his wife and maybe he did end up back in jail or prison. I really don't want to speculate on someone else when I don't know anything. His wife never came to my house with him but I feel like she is the one that brought the fan back for him with his directions to get to my house.

I remember a few days before that happened, he had already quit posting here so that's why I'm thinking that he's not around but I will send a PM but keep in mind, this thread does sit here for anyone to see. I'll do what I can for you and try to find out what happened to him.
 
you are screwed for sure. he wanted me to send my sniper special forces tuner and software to him and he said if he got it to work for his car he would pay me and send it back, sort of like renting it, but after what he did to terry and the fan i wasnt sending him a pencil to borrow let alone my tuner. you'll never see the rims or the money.

I really hope not :( One of the reasons I tried to do this deal with him was because he's got over 500-posts here?!

It would seem kind of strange to hang around a message board, especially one like this with such a small community post that many times just to rob Ken. :(

What really sucks about this, is like I said above, I've been around the Mark VIII community for a long, long time, met a lot of good people in person (Geno, Walt the Super Mark owner, Doug, Blenderhead, Lux, etc.). For something like this to happen, it really sucks.

500 posts isnt squat when you go back and read 3/4 of his posts they are just useless garbage posts, he was sketchy right off the bat, talking about parole officers and :q:q:q:q, sorry about your sour deal but consider your deal burried, he is not a straight forward character.

All his posts were rubbish. Constant posts about what his car is doing wrong and then ignoring advice.

He was a flake.
 
How did you send the money?...Iv bot a few things from Blacked03LS, and 98Lincmk7lsc...class act guys never had an issue...awsome packaging and fast shipping...but iv only ever paid paypal...I'f you really sent cash...well didn't you expect that to happen, PayPals your best friend with online shipping...

- I didn't expect to get scammed by a long time LVC member, if that is what is happening here. There aren't a lot of regular users here with 500+ posts and to have one of them scam me sucks.

I dont think he was long time. Post count means nothing, registration date may be better. Based on that date, he was a new guy.

Maybe something will come up. Good luck! I just bought some Benz parts. One order was better than described. The other, not so much :( It happens unfortunately.

I would think you have his full name? After all, you had to mail/send payment. If so, look him up in the phone book. Maybe do a Google search for relatives. Even check the state records. Wisconsin has a site that lists all that stuff. You may be able to find someone who knows what happened and go from there.
 
If you used PayPal, contact them. If not, contact his local Police Dept.
