First off i know that this thread is pretty useless without pics, which i will be adding tomorow when the sun comes out, but i am looking for any help you guys can provide now. I have a 2003 ls with the regular body kit on it and tonight i lost control on a patch of ice and hit a low stone wall, there is no severe damage, but there is crack in the shape of a hole in the front bumper with a diameter of about an inch, do i need to replace the entire bumper? os can i use somesort of body reconditioner and just fix the hole? the is just a general question until you see the damage i know, but i'm just wondering if there is any way to repair the bumper.

Of course you can fix the bumper, if it is just a hole, you can take the bumper off and bondo it. bumper can come off in about 30 mins. I did a bumper one time, all i did was pull the bumper, put some tape over the back of the hole (so the bondo doesnt just fall through) spread the bondo evenly and shape it as much as possible. then I just sanded it to the exact shape, you could even use a piece of fiberglass cloth instead of the tape and make it sturdier. Since its the bumper, bondo isnt a bad choice, when you use bondo on medal and then paint it, you loose some shine, on plastic there isnt too big of a difference. Now painting it, cant tell you how to do that. Pm
94m5, I saw a while back he was doing some body work for another member.
It also depends on how bad the damage is. Post some pics asap

here are some pics, i can get more detailed ones if necessary, i'm not planning on fixing this myself i'm looking for more of an idea of how much labor is invovled and an estimate of repair fees. Thanks for the help

I am sure it can be fixed at a body shop, but I would change the bumper. Even better you can get an 06 bumper.
