To me the LS can be a money pit I drove my friends LS with in ten seconds of driving it overheated and started to smoke now when he told me it was hydraulic I didn't believe him then I looked and I was wrong that was the first time I saw a hydraulic powered fan it was also wasn't aligned right so it kept pulling to the left so I kept jerking the wheel right to keep from going in the ditch but, I can say they are fairly decent my friends LS had 180k on the clock and no engine problems except the fan. at one time I wanted a LS until I found out about the 3.9 V8 that kinda scared me about them but my friend has the 3.0 V6 which I also like that engine too. all in all I can say I like the LS better the 3.0 v6 is more reliable and doesn't have the same problems as the 4.6 but I can say my 4.6 V8 has 190k on the clock and no problems so im a happy person. Also lol to the bottom comment short story she hit a dog long story it was in pet smart. it would've been funnier if it was at micheal vick's house you made my night

You lost me, when you stated the LS had air suspension. Cause it does not. After that blah blah blah. Anything you posted was a waste of time.
 
well for starters my friend's LS has air suspension I don't know how many have AS but his does. number two the LS Is a jag with a Lincoln badge , also if you are like me with not much money the 3.9 is a terrible engine. the 3.0 is a better more reliable one. @ chris2523 that's a nice photo of your mark 8 the reason I say it looks like a custom Taurus because of its oval body

Well, its possible your friend's car has been bagged but it wouldn't be from the factory. Does it have a towing kit? The LS is a Lincoln that shares many components with the Jaguar. I'm not sure about the reliability of the 3.0 vs the 3.9. I just know sometimes the latter can be a PITA. That being said, there is a lot of technical support available through this forum. Everything has been covered at one time or another.
 
thanks for all the comments good and harsh as you can all tell I haven't been around much LS models @ Robot yes his LS does have a towing package it has a recce hitch I have no idea why it also has a green 20 fuse in the towing spot in the fuse box. as for the 3.0 vs 3.9 I say the 3.0 is your better bet. well of course I live in a small town the nearest jaguar dealership is in Tallahassee so the 3.0 comes in handy. I'm not quite sure about the 3.9 AJ-V8 all I know is some idiot around where I live tore his 3.9 to S*** the person had a jag S type but don't get me wrong I like both the jag and LS. As an owner of a town car I know the Air suspension is a nice ride until the you have an air leak and you have to replace them. that is another reason why I like the air shocks but, everyone has their own tastes :)

For the record, No Jaguar ever had the 3.9.
There is a difference between air springs and air shocks.
 
No LS ever left the factory with a towing package. It wasn't offered. Looks like someone added a circuit, probably for trailer brakes.

From the '06 Owners Guide, page 216:

TRAILER TOWING
Your vehicle is not equipped to tow. No towing packages are available
through an authorized dealer.

Every car ever made has its + & - Categories, and comparing them to each other never goes anywhere. I am a firm believer of every car is a POS, its just what i prefer to drive and work on.

An Automotive Internet Forum always brings out know it all people, people with sensitive egos, and rare vehicles that never existed, and when the established members come to them with facts and actual knowledge they get very butt hurt, because as with alot of people nowadays, logic evades them.

With all the info you can find out about any car now a days, you cant blame anyone but yourself, for buying a car with common known issues. when i bought my LS i knew about common issues, and addressed those when i went and bought the car, and i was willing to take the chance with those issues

Oh and BTW
I love how people bash a make of car they only have 2nd hand experience with.
Oh, and the classic my buddys car is optioned with parts that were never available from the factory. its a 1 of 1.
