Ok guys, I swear I don't believe in voodoo but sh!t there's gotta be something wrong with me! Ok here goes....

3 months ago my fan & a/c started failing, the plug to the fan was melting, I knew something was wrong with the line but other than everyone telling me that the VCRM was the one having issues, I knew nothing else. I always suspected something was happening & the lines were running HOTTER than normal but I figured it would all be taken care of once the VCRM would be replaced. As many of you know, 2 weeks ago we discovered it was the ECU that had the problem, Jamie came through & hooked me up with an ECU for my car! That being said, I've been happier than a f@g with 2 @sses for the last 14 FUGKING DAYS!!!

Today on my way home about a mile after I left work my a/c starts to blow hot air. I was puzzled... As I shut the a/c off/on I'm getting on the expressway, the a/c started working fine... As soon as I got off the expressway, the a/c started blowing hot air again & LOW & BEHOLD my car began to overheat!!!!:mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad:
So I'm back to where I started 3 months ago. I played around with the plug that goes to the fan & the fan started working... I pulled off the NEW plug & looked at it... it's melted just as the old one was. I'm not going to ruin this ECU by continuing to use the car this way even though right now it's working but Im assuming the fan needs to go now! What next? lol.

Ok, that being said, if everyone agrees it's the fan, does anyone have an extra fan+plug from a donor car that they want to get rid of? I'm finding I have to spend about $90.00 for a new fan motor. If I can get something cheaper here at LVC it would be nice & greatly appreaciated!:)

I would relay the fan circuit for now, so you dont burn up the new pcm.

There's a '95 off Southern Blvd. at the U Pull It in West Palm Beach. I saw it yesterday. It had the fan in it. Their prices are really good. PM me if you have any questions. Hope this helps.

Trust me, I'm not even touching it until it's completely fixed.

Dude thanks... I'm going to keep that one in mind if I don't find anything by Friday. I could only take the trip up to Palm Beach on Saturday.

Will a 98 fan fit your car?

Not sure but It should... there shouldn't be any difference in those fans. However it's the plugs I'm worried about when it comes to year difference. I've learned that the hard way.:(

all the fans are the same they will all interchange 93-98 no difference. the difference is in the fan plug, but that doesnt matter a 98 fan will fit your car and work fine no mods needed.

Ok, good to know... I'm thinking of purchasing this fan... (USED) but IT LOOKS NEW! I know these fans are on high demand so I need your opinions ASAP on the price. If I get a thumbs up from you guys I'll proceed with the purchase.

Check with Gman, he is parting out a car right now. I am sure you can get it for a better price than that from him.

It's the same plug. You have two wires and the 97-98 have three wires. It will plug right in. I will be in Hollywood in about two hours. I can bring one with me if you want to come up and get it. Just let me know. Hope I can help out.

a few years ago before everyone and their mother started parting out mark VIII's we used to get $150 for a fan on ebay all day long, i dont have a single fan now we still sell the piss out of them, just no where near that kind of money!

I couldn't agree with you more, problem is as years go by, there are less Mark VIII's on the road, meaning more used fans up for grabs! The link I posted above (ebay) you can tell the guy cleans the sh!t out of them & sells them like new!

By the way Jamie? Sick signature picture! My dream is to own a black on black Gen 2 & my Gen 1. To some of you, that's a routine! lol

Well thanks to Rich I am once again on the road! Went to a car show yesterday & met with him. Good times! I just installed the fan today & it works! Now let's see if the plug melts again... If it does then my brain can no longer process wtf can be wrong with my car!
