Hey Jamie I came up with some other lenses to use. Thanks to GO FAST GET TICKETS. I will be sending mine out to you soon and can't wait to get them back.

I was also wondering do you remove the thing in front of the low beam or reshine it? And would it be brighter if removed? Whatever you would do is awesome. I am running blue headlights but noone can tell. And I am hoping they will be after though.

i take the refractor out and chrome the whole thing, you dont want to leave it out. also, once you get them back from me, i suggest you put an hid kit in it, if you want, i can get you a nice 6000k hid kit with slim digital ballasts and send it with the headlights for an extra $95 you will :q:q:q:q your pants after putting the lights and hids back into the car!!!! i will also include directions how to modify the multifunction switch so when you turn the high beams on the low beams will remain lit up too, its very simple to do. but you'll never need high beams again!
 
I wouldn't want to modify the MFS switch, but what does that HID kit consist of? And what would be the cost of the bulbs and would they slide into the stock housing or would they be a custom thing?

Sorry so much in one sentence.
 
it consists of bulbs (x2) and ballasts(x2) you might also want to get the relay wiring harness and the bulbs will fit in the stock housings not modifications needed...

why not, its exactly how ford did the 96lsc mfs so it wouldnt turn off the hids when the high beams were turned on.

its a safe mod


also if you get hids, you really really should do this mod
 
yes when i say modify, all you are really doing is connecting pins 13 and pins 15 together in the switch, all this does, is allows the low beams to stay ON when you select to high beam, you'll notice now when you select from low to high the low beams shut off, if you do this to an hid bulb, if they are warmed up to operating temp, and you shut them off, and turn them back on again quickly its called a hot strike, this takes about 10 hours off the life of the bulb each time you do it, so its almost a must you connect 13 and 15 together, all you need is a splice connector made to connect two inline wires together, it doesnt damage the car in anyway. also the kits i use have replacement bulbs for about 20 bucks each if one ever burns out.
 
you can try but you wont get very far. its not the switch itself its the wiring, changing the switch wont do anything anyway!
 
Ok wel we will be talking in the next three weeks about this. since I suddenly have to double the money for the hids. Must have the bright :q:q:q:q!!!!
 
Also what guarantee or warranty does the kit hold if any? Thanks in advance.
 
I agree KK but where would I begin to find them on the budget. I would gladly do that mod to her.
 
Jamie modified my switch and I now have 6000K HID's in the high beams and 8000K HID's in the low beams.

Jamie mentioned up above or recommended the 6000K HID kit and it is the best in my opinion for the brightest light but if you want more of a blue tint, like I did, go with the 8000K and if you want more blue, go with a 10,000K kit.

I don't have any night time pics yet of my light output but both HID kits were just put into NIB housings and the light coming out is unreal. So now I have 4 ballast and 4 HID bulbs. Two 8000K and two 6000K and also, I don't get the "check exterior light" message anymore with dual HID kits.

I'll get a night time pic maybe tonight or tomorrow night because I have to aim both new housings and I have only one place where I do this at. It's an underground parking area, inside a tunnel where everything is level and I also have walls on each side to make sure it's perfect. I block off the tunnel on one end and turn of the overhead lights. Yes, that's where I partially work lol. I have access to all electrical rooms for the whole shopping center.

Lens is crystal clear but the shadow makes the low beam look funny in the pic.

Below is the tunnel that I block off and turn the lights out up above for the aiming. Lights shown are 10,000K HID's with a 2 year warranty for $60

What do you mean by check exterior lamps like everyone else. That would be the killer for me. Chamelle can't have no issues or malfunctioning things goin on.
 
I get the message also but im using the 35w bulbs insted of the 55w. With the 35w the lenses never really get hot like they did with the stock bulbs. I think if i went with the 55w kit the check exterior lights message wouldnt appear.

It's nothing bad but normally with an HID kit install, you'll get a message that says "check exterior lights" but all you have to do is press reset and it goes away but now with two kits, I don't get the message anymore. Works for me lol.
 
it only shows because of the difference in voltage, the car seems to think a light is out when you install hid's, you can hit reset everytime you turn the lights on, or just clip the brown/yellow wire on the lamp out module to get rid of the message.
 
After I hit reset will it tell me if anyother lights such as the tail lights.
 
Its not bad at all, i havent clipped the wire yet so 30-45 seconds after the lights come on the message pops up, i just hit reset everytime i drive at night.
