so im tying to restore my driver side head light and ive read on here from a couple of you that plastx and sand paper work fine. ive tried to search the forums to see if i can find a dtailed message but havent had success, can any of you guys help out.

I'd suggest a few minutes with some polishing compound (which is what the PlastX is) between the finest sandpaper and the waxing..

wet sand the headlight with 1000 grit, then repeat with some 1500 , then finish with 2000. dry off lense once you are finished with the 2000. then get some plastic x, or maguiars swirl remover, ( i like to use mothers chrome polish ) and a buffer with a wool pad and buff the lense at least 3 to 4 times. each time you buff it, it will get clearer and clearer, once its nice and clear again, then put on a layer of wax.

What Jamie said (BAD97LSC). BTW I love what you have done in the engine compartment. Very nice color scheme IMO.

heres what i did, i used 1500 grit to wet sand. then used 2000 to wet sand. then used meguiars fine cutting compound with a rotary buffer to buff out the head light. (foam pad, a wool pad would be ideal i just didnt have one) then switch over to meguiars swirl remover and use a foam pad to buff out.

heres the results i got.

thanks to all of you. what wax would you all recommend?
and Mark0101 thanks for the compliment on the engine compartment

i use a sealer on the lenses called blackfire wet diamond, its not sold in stores though, you have to buy it online, i can go directly to the company because they are located in tampa, but look on ebay, or just google, blackfire wet diamond.
