He told me to make a wish list of things I want for the Mark with prices! :D
Just wanted to share with everyone.

I have an idea of some things I would like to have, and some things I know I wont be able to ever get. so,I just need to know, where would be the best place to go to get prices,or if yo have purchased something I want, could you do me a favor and post the price you paid? Thanks.

1. R1 drilled/slotted rotors. Rear about $80 (ebay) Front about $122 (ebay) Sound about right?

2. Cobra Intake $350 I saw MediumD i think had one for 350. so I guess thats the average price

3. Cobrastar emblems $39.99 a pair plus $3.99 s&h. (here)

4. 4.10's eh,a bit too much for the whole install and such.

5. of course a Vortec! too much indeed.

I know what is doable considering the amount of money I and my father have,so this is about it.
Any input would be greatly appreciated!
Like any project, this will be a long time in the works, but its a good father/son project. One of these winters we are going to repaint it. He has been a painter as long as the son has been shining

Thanks again

Isaiah

Look at my thread, there's about $3000 in upgrades in those pics... My rotors front and rear are not cobra, but they are drilled / slotted and came with performance pads ( ask LaserSVT bout the price) somewhere around $150 for all rotors plus pads...
4/10 gears are a bit much for a daily driver, you can jerk 3/73 out of any late 90s ford explorer in a salvage yard for real cheap

kinda need to know what ya got in order to stear you into your next mod or repair... Some motorcraft plugs and a nice set of wires would be ideal, I did mine for about 130, I have 10.2mm wires from Vision ( they come in blue or red)

I also suggest checking your local salvage yard for mustangs or camaros, lots of those cars have nice mufflers on them and you can grab em for dirt cheap

Sorry for the double post ( blame iPhone)
realistically a cobra intake will go for an ave price of $500, then there's ALLLL the stuff you have to get in order to make it work, so another $2-300 bucks...and it's about 15?hp gain
plus if your driving a gen1, you'll need either a cowl hood, or drop your k member an inch, which requires spacers, and longer bolts, and a day on your back

I was telling my dad what you said about the gears, and he said that was a good idea, but what year has them?
What do I have to work with? ha. My college savings. I find what I would like to get and start saving for it. I am always broke. School isnt free.

I'm rollin in a 2nd gen,so I cant really do wires.

I did some exhaust work to the car already,I did it when I first got the car. Threw some stands under it and went to cuttin and weldin. I removed the third cat after the 2 into 1 and I removed both mufflers and put straight pipe in their place.

@ Cadillackman & Gilby Thanks! They are from the Aviator (if that makes any difference) and I think they are 32 a piece.
@Ford nut...not likely :p

 Sorry,I haven't learned how to quote more than one persons post... but I'm still learning

You can get Cobra calipers for $220 shipped and then rotors for $100 from Brakemotive (Power Stops) and another $30-$60 to have the bolt pattern drilled. Under $400 for a Cobra setup and the braking is MUCH nicer. Your wheels should clear them no problem.

ooooh really? I think I now know the FIRST thing I'm saving up for! 13'' right? Man Laser,I just sit here and STARE at your sig pic. that thing is sick.

im pretty sure 96 Explorer - 04 Explorer use 3/73 ( might be an ever broader range of years) there are usually the tabs on the diff still, the last 3 digits are the gear size,
i cant remember the spline you need, its either a 29 or a 31, not sure which..LaserSVT Chime In!!
as far as 4/10s, im possitive youll need a tune after them, your speedometer will be way off if you dont
Laser has 3/73 and that thing shifts SO nice!!!
you may also look into doing the "Jmod", pretty cheap-ish

i think its a 29.....do the explorers/rangers have a trac-lok?

29 spline ya doof! And cant use an IRS Exploders rear.

29? I thought it was 28? Well,whatever they are,I know it's not 31.
So the explorer is a no-go?

I ment it as a suprised and dumb statement. Yeah they are 28 spline. I dont know what cars may have had 29 but pretty sure no Fords.

Laser...WTF... You can use the gears...not sure about trac loc

Not true my fine feathered friend. While you can use the solid axles gears you can not with the IRS. Ask me how I know..... better yet ask SVO and his wife who no longer has 3.73's for her car. :(

At the bottom of the post there is a quote, a plus, and a quick reply.

The plus will let you quote as many threads as you like, the last thread you want you hit quote, then you will have all the quotes you picked.

I remember reading up on the rear end,and I thought 29 sounded odd.
And thanks ford nut!

The Cobrastars wouldn't be going on the outside of the car. One would be inder the hood, and the other on my little brother's tool box.
He builds some sick looking bicycles. I'm posting pics in the 'anything goes' area.
