Just figured you guys might get a kick out of this one... Figured out that there was a 98 Mark VIII in the LKQ in Daytona, Fl. I live in Orlando and had just gotten a chance to drive up there today. The car was put on their yard on the 18th. I was after 1 small gen 2 peice and was thinking of grabbing some other parts to sell... Got there and it was raped hard, after only 12 days. No engine, front bumper, head lights, rear neon, door panels, both seat tracks, and the air compressor.
They might as well crush it now, nothing left. Never seen a Mark stripped so fast before.

12 days? you should have come around the shop more you could have seen one driven in the shop on a friday and on a flat bed saturday as a shell. me and my brother in law used to see how fast we could kill one down to a bare shell, less than 18 hours our best.

Up here you need to get to the yard on day one if you want the hot items like climate control.
If its a Gen 2 I think the car would be striped in 3 days.

here they sit with almost nothing being taken. about the only part that goes quick are gen 2 headlights.

yea, in norther VA these cars sit forever. theres black on black 93 sitting in my local junkyard. 98% complete if anyone needs anything.

When I listed my 97 Evergreen for parts within 48 hours the car was completly stripped. :lol:

Yeh, I got a few j/y's I go to that have Mark VIII's hardly ever touched. When they do get touched, they get crushed...
