Just like the other member that got a nice compliment from a Viper owner I got one from an XLR-V today. My grandmothers doctor came out to see her and we live next door. He stopped by to see my father and I was outside working on the car. I had just finnished the seat and power steering hose and then washed the car as well as break out the chrome polish on the 10 spokes since I havent polished them in a year.
I had the cars nose up in the air again to clean off the bar oil I spilled on the hoses and support brace and I was all the way under it so he couldnt see me. He was walking up and I hear him stop behind the car and say very quietly "What a nice looking car." :) I shout "Thanks" and he almost jumped out of his skin! He said he didnt see anyone out here and I startled him. I look over and see his V series and I love those cars allot and told him so.
He walks around to the front and sees the engine and like most people he thinks its some 500 ci monster cause of them huge ass heads. He goes on and on about how nice and clean the engine is and he didnt know Lincoln made a car like this (after I tell him about the engine). I let the car down so I could open the door and he was so earnestly impressed with the inside.
Blew him away when I told him the car is almost 13 years old. He said he really wants one and will let the wife have the Caddy. Now I was blown away!
That made me feel like king :q:q:q:q right there! He is driving Caddys flag ship and likes my old Lincoln better.

These cars are still kick ass cars to this day! I love the damn thing! :D

Just took her out for a victory lap. I cant believe how muchmore comfertable the seat is now that its welded. Also where the little support bar comes up on the lower cushion had rubbed through the seat pad and dug into the side of my leg. I just used some duct tape to rearrange the cushion a little then put the leather back on. Cant tell its been rigged at all and it is so much more comfertable now! :wrench

Did I tell you I love my car?

Thanks guys. Now that its running again with a comfertable seat and no wierd noises I am happy again. I just spent several hundred on mure performance parts for it today too.
I really do love my car but I have ADD and get bored every now and then. Then after working my ass off on it all day it felt really nice to get that compliment. :)

It's times like that where it pays off to just stick with the cars you like. Also love the way Lincolns always take people by surprise.

Thats pretty cool. You should have told him you'd let him drive the LSC if he let you drive the V. Fair trade right? lol

i gotta say laser, your color combo is one of my favorites. LSC is the way to go in any color but that blue green just looks
bas add

I love the color too. It reminds me of the color of my Continental. I think it was called "denim metallic blue"? I am going to be looking for a 98 LSC to buy within the next year. Hopefully I can get lucky enough to get exactly what I want.

Thanks guys! I love the Evergreen on my car, how it shifts colors in different lights. Its like a mild Mystic paint almost. I really dig my car and cant wait till I have the fender and bumper redone even though 80% of the people that see it never notice.
Now if I could just find some tuch up paint. I know its code F8 but Autozone, NAPA, O'Reilly and Wal Mart dont have it. There is a shop in town that can make me some if I remember right. He was gonna make me some for my Sonic Blue Cobra and said $25 to make a small spray can and a nail polish size bottle with brush. Damn gravel has caused some chips on the passenger side door jamb. Guess the door sits in about 1 mm and the jamb lip catches the rocks. :(
