GOOSEBUMPS and one more pic at the end...

People PLEASE!
Stop posting pictures of chrome 10 spokes!
It's killing me :(

I seriously need to buy a set or two of those wheels. They're so gorgeous!

Ebay $600, go get em'.

Waaay too much. I have had the 10's before but they were silver. Even if they were chrome, I still would have given them away for the one Octi. I don't want to be stuck on another directional wheel again.

They do look good though. Not downing the looks of them at all. I really wish they would have gave the Mark about 3 more wheel choices in chrome, starting in 93.

I just sold a set for $100... I bet shipping to Sweden would've been crazy expensive

Blk/Blk gen 2...love them
Also like 10 spokes.

Terry would kill me if he saw my Octi winter rims.
They were once mint.

Octi WINTER wheels Kirk..... I would have given you some silver 10 spokes and shipped them to you for free and paid you $400 for those Octi's, when mint. God I can't see an Octi being used as a winter wheel. :( That's what "snowflakes" are for.

Ok, sorry Laurie for the wheel hijack in your thread. :) Kirk has me upset for the day now.

Damn, I'm not a huge Octi-fan yet just looking at that reply from Kirk hurts. Thank God we don't deal with that issue down here in S.Fl but if we did, I have a snowflake set & a silver 10 spoke set. As ugly as I think 20 spoke wheels are, just because mine are chrome I wouldn't use them for the life of me. I wouldn't use my chrome 10 spokes either.

Kirk... That's just wrong dude. Tisk, tisk buddy.

No hijacking worries here, NoLimit!!! :D

Just wanted to post an update of my trying to get the lowering correct here. I jerked with it a little yesterday and now I think it's a TAD too low in the front. Oh fiddles. I need to install the rest of my speakers, not keep rollin' around under the car :p

Whatcha guys think? Sorry, still dealing with my crummy Spectrum camera.

Too bad they still have that Gen2 nose ... perfect otherwise :D

And yeah, make me a Sammich

Laurie, the parking stance you have yours at is exact to mine. When mine vents down, it is setting just like yours. I might be a 1/2 " or less lower but it's not much different than how you have yours setting. I like it where it is now, although, they do look better setting a little lower.

I see some Octi's over there to the right. If you ever get rid of them, please let me know. I'll gladly take them because I see another Gen 1 in the future, unless I get a boat instead. Kinda ready to go fishing this coming Spring.

Lincoln should have made a combo like this, it would've made my life a lot easier :P

There's a fine line between fishing, and standing on the bank with a stick in your hand

Oh ha ha ha ha!!!!!! :D I have UltimateSVT trolling for my chrome directionals and you trolling for my Octistars. I promise both of you that if either of these cars ever gets new shoes, you'll be the first to know. ;)

The sammich stand is open! It's $5 for the opportunity to be the meat in between  :shifty: :D

:Ls!!!!!!

The sensor lowering looks perfect in the other picture, leave it like that, just so long as the fronts don't bottom out on the plastic fender liners when going over bumps...and wait...wait..is that a FLAW on the mark with octis?? I see window trim ripple! :D lol sorry couldn't resist, both of those marks are so damn clean, don't know how you found both of those black on black 2nd gens...your neighbors must think you're the crazy mark viii lady with matching marks in her garage lol..I would think it's badass if I were your neighbor!

The '98 has been in the family since '02. And, yes, it does have bacon neck. I waited and jonesed so long for my '97 Black/black that the '98 is the red-headed step child right now. Gotta say, though, it is tighter than my 2003 Focus. You have to really slam the door to get it to close because it is just a solid, sweet ride. The previous owner removed the dash board to fix the blend door arm on the '97 and busted some of my smaller trim pieces on the doors, so I'm very apprehensive about completing my speaker install. The '98 is definitely faster, too. Major difference in the 1/2 shifting. The '97 tends to race to get to 3, O/D. Many little things, but it's new owner is VERY happy to accomodate. They'll get done. The laundry is piling up, but the Marks are shiny and good to go... and the garage is clean!!!

Kevin, you can sensor lower as far as the factory holes will let you and never worry about rubbing. You can even drill additional holes and go further down and still not rub. I have hit my switch and dropped mine as low as you see it in the sig pic which is as low as it will possibly go and it drove without rubbing, except when turning a sharp corner. The front tires will rub just a little on the inner lining but it's not bad. I drove mine about a 1/4 of a mile, slammed to the ground and the bump stops keep it from hitting anything. That is one bumpy ride when slammed. I was even on a smooth road too but it found the road flaws and had me hopping in the seat at 35 to 40mph. Never again!

Installed the rest of my speakers yesterday and tweeked on my sensors one last time. The tires aren't rubbing, the ride is acceptable, I'm not bottoming out and I think it looks PERFECT. On the other hand, you can really see the sag in the left muffler which is what prompted me to get the LMS duals. I want shiny and level mufflers, dammit!

Cheers and happy Saturday!!! :D

I'm gonna say it one more time... Ohhhh, I love this car! HAPPY.
