For all you Gen 2 owners out there with COP ignition I am working a little project and wanted to see if there was any interest. The factory COP use a small coiled wire to transmit the electrical charge from the coil to the plug, this little coiled wire does not impress me very much and when you fully uncoil it you realize it is a very long wire.

I want to build something better.... something positively lock to the plug.

My idea is to use bulk spark plug wire material to build mini plugs wires to replace the factory "wire". The thing about buying bulk is the more you buy the cheaper it is.... so if a few other people were interested I could get the cost way way down there, think $25-$30.
 
I already have this upgrade on my car, GMS cop kit, look it up.
 
That was a good read. Basically if a fire cracker is enough to ignite a gallon of fuel in a bucket putting a quarter stick in there wont really make a difference.
 
I always said.. Aftermarket coils were not a performance mod....

I don't want anyone to think that this is going to be a power mod, or that they will increase their mpg by 50%!

My only goal here is to improve the electrical connection between the coil and the plug and prevent any chances of misfire and stumbles.
 
keep your coils fresh and you wont have to worry about it. brandon by the time you drive your mark again your coil boots will be dust.
 
I'll hopefully have insurance on it in a month or so....

At least I own one... one that isn't a nasty interior color with dated gen 1 looks :D

Still, wouldn't mind one of those green on greens though! They must be uber rare... Never seen anyone with that combo on the forums.
 
Just ignore him kid. We already know he has a couple different profiles he has posted under and is a complete n00b.
 
i've had more marks than you will ever see brandon lol so stick your dated comment in your bum. and as far as a willow on willow mark i may pick one up thats been hit in the right side, and yes i will part it too, rare or not who cares!!!
 
I could care less what you do with your Marks Jamie... your money your cars.... willow interior is hideous anyways.

postergirls with 7500 empty posts...there is the joke, unity and KK just like to 'hear' themselves, but I'd give props to Unity-at least he was the one to turn on others, including me (just me, I have NO aliases) to aftermarket HID's-KK just HAS to comment on EVERY SINGLE POST, MULTIPLE TIMES, a job UNITY used to have...LOL, have fun with your little girl's club...
