Can anyone tell me if you can buy new bulbs for the cruise control buttons?

You can but its a Radio Shack thing and involves soildering. When mine burned out I just scored an extra set off Jamie. Just look for any 99-03 Rangers or Explorers as they are a direct fit. I think Mustangs too but forget what year they started to illuminate.

I like the Gen 2 bulbs better. They are brighter than the gen 1s. Does radio shack have the exact bulb? Do they have a part number?
Thanks.

Did gen1s illuminate? I've had 3 Gen1s, and they either didn't work in all of them, or they didn't have any

Not that I can play expert, but if I remember right the tail end of Gen 1 switched over to illuminated cruise lights. I know 93 and 94 just have solid plastic.

A 95 that I'm driving right now has illuminated buttons, and they're nice and bright. I think they started in 95 on the Marks.

Joe! haven't seen you in a while..and yep my 95 has illuminated CC buttons..i think? never really payed attention to be honest.

Along with cut outs, double dins and countless other upgrades that make using early gen one stuff in latter gen one cars a headache. The 95 and 96's cars all have illuminated CC switches.

Hence Why I call them Gen 1.5………………………then there is my Frankenstein, a Gen 1.923

What's that make my car then?

All my Gen1s were 93s, so that explains it :)

.... OK back to work
