How do i remove the side mouldings from the doors and quarter panels on a GEN 1 Mark VIII LSC

I know when i had to remove door mouldings off my 87 Mustang they were deformed after and had to peel the steel strips out of them...what is involved in the mark viii mouldings...Thanks

They are double sided taped on. I would use a heat gun and bondo scraper, that has worked well for me in the past.

I have two sets in my basement and after removing them they aren't deformed or damaged in anyway...

heh. I got mine out of the junkyard and used a screw driver with light prying.. They came out good.

Uhhh, a very hot fire seemed to do it for me pretty well. I didn't even have to touch them lol. I'm just joking but it did work though.

Now my question is how do you get rid of that ugly plastic chrome strip around the bumper without replacing the bumper cover?

But how would I remove the chrome from the front and rear bumper cover? Or am I just doomed to have to get LSC covers?

Well you could remove the chrome out of them and try to fill them but they WILL crack. the only real option you have is swap out to the LSC bumpers and trim.

Maxx still sells the chrome trim for the front and rear, and maybe the sides

I pulled mine off before the paint job, and still need to replace the sides.

Max at Five Star Ford in Scottsdale? If so I will swing by and get a price on Monday since I dont work to far from there.

i know of two 95 lsc's in a local yard near me that are hidden so they arent picked apart yet, i'm going this coming weekend to see how much stuff i can get, mouldings and bumpers included!
