Anyone with an aftermarket stereo in a Gen 1, chime in. I am having problems getting my power antenna to raise. I am using a harness to plug into the factory harness and wiring up the power antenna. It didn't raise. I then used my CD and made sure I had the right wire (I do) and splice into it. It still didn't raise. Am I missing something?

I spliced mine into the constant 12v i did the switxhed 12v first and the attenna would raise then go back down. Switched it and it works fine

i dont know why, but when i put a system in my black 93, i used the blue wire for antenna on my new stereo, and it did the same thing, raised it, then lowered it, so i used the other blue wire on the stereo for the remote amp turn on, hook that to the antenna, worked perfect.

I've always just spliced the power antenna blue wire from the aftermarket harness to the plug in harness. It should operate as normal, but nothing. I can't use the remote turn on wire because I haven't installed an amp yet.

Something clearly is not right. I hooked up to the remote turn on, and I am not getting anything from the antenna. I know the antennas are working, my car is just not powering them. The manual has a lot of fuses for the power antenna. The fuses for the antenna run other things, and nothing seems to be blown. What gives?

maybe you have a break in the harness somewhere, does it work when you hook a stock radio to the car?

Ya phucked it up man now sell me your car.;)Kidding, I have the same problem with mine.I'm getting around to it soon.

well greg if you dont have a stock radio, how can you tell us the antenna is good? you cant just stick 12 volts to the antenna, because that isnt how it works when it is hooked up to the cars harness.

Because I tested the antenna according the Ford Service CD, is says to momentarily apply power in each direction. If it moves, the antenna is good, and it is good.
