Gearing, Input Suggestions

Just picked up a 8.8 TL unit out of a 1996 tbird. ($35.00) Next week going to rebuild mine. Wondering what gear ratio should I go with. 3:73 or 4:10
Daily driver. Sometime street racer, Next year after engine rebuild will see some drag time at the track.

3:73s, dont listen to everyone else tell you 4:10s...

i had 3:73 and put 4:30's in, if i could go back to the 3:73 i would for the long haul, on the street the 4:30 is just totally sick, but at 80 mph i am screaming and it sucks ass. luckily i dont drive on the highway much, but now if i want to, i really cant for long or i have to keep it around 70. having both gears i would say the 3:73 unless you only do city driving then i would say the 4:10.

i got 26.5 mpg on the one long distance trip i've taken since putting my 4.10s. and regularly do 16-19 mostly city with some highway. about the same as my 3.08s.

don't fear the gear!
