i showed my dad the rims for his LS, and he said even though they are nice, he only wants to spend like $300-500 for rims and tires

well, let me break down what i paid 
$300+ per rim
$150 per new tire
$100 per used
Total: $1700 estimate
I think $1k is a solid asking price (the center caps still have that thin protective film on them...)

If so it seems the best way to finnaly let go of the LS is to first buy "these" headers.

Some jag guy had them, I bought them, sold them days later to kowalski, now kowalski is selling. These need to get installed asap! I want to see numbers!

Would you mind sharing how much they offered you on trade? A dealer offered $8K for mine, which is practically the same car with 46K miles. Needless to say, I said no.
well, my car was in an accident before i bought it and that is why i got it at a nice price a year ago... the fix was good so i didn't mind
but now i see trade-in value dramatically dropped. they gave me 4k for it...
i just looked at the website listing and they want 8k. so if you are going to look at the car, i think you will easily be able to get down to 6k
