We just had a little snow storm here in boston and man this car absolutely sucks driving in the snow! Check engine light came on but i'm yet to check on that. The main problem now it, every other door opens except the driver door. I can't tell if its just frozen or something broke. It's kind of embarrassing to be climbing in thru the passenger side. Anyone else have this problem before?

Usually with mine the door lock freezes, and has to be opened from the inside of the car. Ever since I started to park in the garage I haven't had this problem

I had the door sticking as well. It was the lock and to get it to work I had to insert the key into the door and twist it both ways to get it to lock and unlock.

If you decide to wipe the door seals ... do not use lithium grease. It will degrade over time. Use 50/50 antifreeze mix ... actually conditions the seals and they will not freeze.

Hope that works for you.

Silicone lube is also an effective seal conditioner/anti-stick. If it's the lock causing the problem you can try a little WD-40 sprayed into the lock next time it's warm, to displace any water that might have gotten into the works.

Mine used to do that and once I got it open the clasp would stick so the door wouldn't latch. I started carrying a travel hair dryer and installed a power inverter under the passenger seat. Problem solved.

Used to have this same latching problem, as soon as I started being able to park in the garage, all these door problems went away. Seems like the LS isn't the biggest fan if cold weather

When we lived in Utah I carried a lighter so I could heat up the key and unlock the door. No, in 1983 we didn't have clickers.

I guess this is a common problem. I had to leave my door open overnight because I couldn't get it to latch shut once it finally opened.

It's also a good idea to keep the rubber well lubricated. The last thing you want is to have the weather-stripping to stick to the car!
