First, let me start by saying that this is the most inconveniently located, unaccessible oil filter i have ever encountered!! I made a disaster of a mess getting it out.

I realized that its indeed not oil leaking... since my synthetic was so dirty it looked like conventional!! The leak in the front was probably from the PS leak that Sapper said 50% of us probably have encountered... So ill tackle that when Im bored...

I checked the tranny fluid, which is still red, but appears low - I think this might be why i've been feeling the shifts more the last few days.

Where do I add tranny fluid, and WTF do I do!?!?!? :(

Very well could be the dip stick tube "O" ring, they tend to dry out and leak. You need a 3' extension to remove the bracket bolt on the back of the head. It's a 15 minute job if you have a lift and a extra set of hands to help guide the socket and extension.

If it's a pump seal there should be oil slung around the bell housing on the inside which you can see if you pop the access plug and look around.

By "Pop the access plug" im guessing you mean that circle thing that is dripping?

Front seal of the trans looks like it's leaking. $10.00 part but would be hell to change. If you drop the trans, invest in both seals (front and rear) from Maxx and the gaskets required to do the J-Mod on that trans. Total cost for parts will be right at $30 shipped to the door in 2 days. J-Mod is free if you can drill holes in the separator plate and remove the burr. Put everything back together, make sure all bolts are tightened and put the trans back in. You will need help! No lift required. I done this in my garage and had the car up high on jack stands.

The other leak is PS fluid and you might be better off buying a reman rack for it. I have a new one but mine won't fit yours. Would really have to know where it's leaking from for sure. Any steering issues, slow or fast?

Yeah, not seeing a power steering leak only a slight trans leak. Mine lets out a drop every now and then and just this very second I realized I should have bought new seals. :( Oh well.

I also see some dumb ass used red RTV instead of a trans pan gasket. At least you know its been serviced. Down side is its very clean which means it was done prolly right before you bought the car. How does the trans shift?

Is that the caulk looking gel stuff holding on the pan? I noticed that too.

Car shifts fine, every once in a while if its doing it as I let off the gas I feel it. It lags t shift when I floor it, and will bang a little if I let off at a high RPM when its trying to shift, but nothing that feels abnormal.

Abusive Forced downshifts from 4th gear to 2nd or 1st can cause some major problems with this transmission in the long haul.
