and some are under the assumption that decibels are directly related to a volume knob. It does not take twice as many decibels to double the volume. Think of decibels more along the line of the richter scale. The difference between a 3 and 4 earthquake is actually ten times more intense.it depends on wut the sub calls for... some are best fit for sealed/ported enclosures but they usually have a specific enclosure size and type for the best sound. should b in the manual. most people think a 1000 watt sub is louder then 500 watt sub but this is untrue as you can only get a few db's difference with double the wattage. you would need a whole bunch of watts before you can start doublin up some decibels.
Extremely doubtful Lol. I didn't see a price but I'm guessing in the 2-3k range. Its too damn heavy though
There are some crazy expensive subs out there. Look at the link I provided earlier for proof. Its funny because people who compete in DB drags and comps like that don't spend much on their setups (at least not as much as you would think) but straddle stack their amps which is imo the most important thing in the whole system. Not taking away from the sub and/or wiring because they are important as well. Anyone interested in more serious setups should consider the big 3 as wellFor a pair of subs!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!??????
Hey pete, I would suggest a memphis mojo 12" woofer. RMS is 1100 watts with a peak of 2200. Can handle anything you throw at it and can find it for $400 or less. You won't believe it is just one speaker. If you don't want to spend that much, find you a memphis M-3 12" woofer. Should pair up nice with your new amp.
I sort of wanted to stay in that 300 or less budget.

DC audio isn't very popular yet but as you can see...nothing else compares
