Hello fellas.

I clay bared and waxed the car few days ago. Here are the results.

This is a 2001 V6 sport in Aqua Blue with 184400 miles.

Enjoy.

First and last shots are sick.

I love those types of photos.

Nice car man! Also nice find on the empty street during the day!

thanks man, those two are my favorites too. Its a new street next to Long Beach airport.

those back tires! one word, BEAST! I mean they aint no 26's but they nice.... also good detail, I admit to jealousy, I want to learn how to detail so I can get my car shined up for the summer. if anybody has a step by step walk through let me know.

Edit: yo hyelife, jus a thought, I think your car is due for an LSE bumper, should photoshop one to see how it looks.

I used maguilars clay bar and wax. I gonna find out some of those good products from Pete.

Im sure it would look very nice with 06 bumper. I dont really like the 03-06 headlights that much. I dont want no gap either. Probably gonna roll like this for now.

Nice pics, dude. Have you got any new lenses for the camera yet? Or was this with the kit lens?

No lenses yet. The 18-55 that came with it. Oh yea the clay bar kit is mothers not maguilars i think.

Pete, some help here.

Sure, what do you need help with? How to spell Meguiar's? :p

Nice and clean, as always :) Those Vulcans are starting to grow on me.. grrr! One of the very few rims that look good on our cars, IMO.

There are a few indispensable products you should have for after washing:

Clay Bar (I personally use Bilt Hamber Soft clay, but it has to be ordered from the UK - www.carnaubawaxshop.com)

Glaze - Chemical Guy's EZ Creme Glaze. This works to fill in some light swirl marks. About the best you can do without using a buffer to mechanically remove swirls.

Sealant - This is a synthetic wax. It offers more durable protection than wax, but can leave the surface looking "sterile" - I personally use Blackfire Wet Diamond or Collinite 845 Insulator wax. Collinite will get you 6 months of protection from 1 coat. Blackfire will net you about 4 months. I think the Blackfire looks slightly better, but it's twice the price.

Wax - I am a wax fanatic. On my LS, I rarely use a sealant. To me, sealants are for durability only, and waxes are for the looks (although the Blackfire looks awesome by itself). Among my favorites right now for wax: Lusso Oro, Dodo Juice Austintacious, Dodo Juice Supernatural, Rubbish Boy's Original Edition, and Victoria Red.

As far as bang for your buck, you cannot beat CG EZ Cremem Glaze, then Collinite 845, then Lusso oro over the top of it.

You should also get a quick detail spray. CG Speed wipe is supposed to be nice. I use Finish Kare 425. About 35 shipped per gallon.

also good detail, I admit to jealousy, I want to learn how to detail so I can get my car shined up for the summer. if anybody has a step by step walk through let me know.

+1....i need all the how to steps on real professional detailing. Summer is right around the corner.

Tell you what, shoot me a pm and let me know what you need. I'll compile an order for you. If you need a complete setup from ground up, let me know, and I'll figure that too.

Honestly, if you aren't going to be machine polishing, I'm sure we can fit into that budget. But a machine polisher/polishes/pads can be 300 alone.
