Extremely Low Mile Gen 1

If its been driven now and then, not a bad price at all for that milage. But I would be skeptical and be looking all over that thing. I am sure the air ride it dry rotted though, as well as a few other bushings. If I had the cash, I would probably pick that up.
 
i wouldnt go anywhere near it unless you just want to buy it and let it remain parked as a show piece, cuz if you start using it as a daily driver you'll put another 2500 into everything thats dry rotted and siezed, not to mention the leaks from the engine seals and transmission. i pick up cars that are just over the average :q:q:q:q the bed miles that way someone has already spent the exspense replacing all the normal problems. some of you guys go nuts over low miles, i dont care what an odometer says, its the last thing i look at, i look at how the vehicle was taken care of, because even low mile cars can be neglected abused pieces of :q:q:q:q. i dont care if the vehicle i look at has 100k or 400k if its clean, in great shape and well cared for im grabbing it. when i am shopping for a vehicle, i skip right past the low mile ones.

We hear you on all things noted but this is registered and inspected. If garage kept by a thoughtful old guy, SCORE. Older guy most likely already brought it to FORD and had all new air put in it, maybe even twice. LOL Its got that funky green gut thou.
 
Low miles are not always bad. Here in Texas, that car has not sit. That car was owned by an elderly couple that drove this car from church. My grandmother drives a 1977 Impala, and that thing has 60k miles.
 
but a 77 impala doesnt have a million electrical modules, 439 miles of wire, a crappy designed front suspension or air ride. 60k on a 77 impala is not like 28k on a mark VIII!
 
Sure you may have to replace some front end components and probably the air ride eventually, but depending on how often the guy started the car and ran it and performed regular maintenance, seals in the engine will last. If you want to start with something that is clean in every other aspect, I'd buy it. Save time and money in the long run with replacing all the other warn out sh*t that normally gets replaced on a higher mileage car like half of the interior in a mark viii that either doesn't stand up well or breaks because it's cheap plastic. I agree, I probably wouldn't use a low mile mark viii as a daily driver either but it would be a nice investment as a nice weather toy. +1 on the color btw :D
 
Am I the only one that has noticed the nasty blue interior? NO one has said anything about it. At first I thought it was gray but looking at it closely, the dash looks blue. Problem is, the sun was so bright that you couldn't tell right away.

Yes, it was mentioned above. Believed to be the rare "willow green" interior. Could be a color-shift with the camera. Hard to tell for sure, but looks like it.
 
its not blue it is willow green inside and out they never made a willow green mark with blue interior.
 
As a Mark VIII aficionado I would buy that car in a second if it was closer...
 
My 95 had that mileage on it when I bought it. Originally an arizona car, moved to maui in about 01, I bought it when I joined here.

Still no suspension problems to this day. I did have a couple other issues...stereo (stock amp specifically), alternator, speedometer, door ajar switches.
 
I put this out for any who may be interested in this Mark. This Mark was driven twice a week until last year. Since then the daughter would come by and dust it off and start it up. The car is parked under a carport, and all the service was done by Ford. She also said they her father had a thing about the belts, and they were changed yearly. Some good information to anyone looking into it.
 
Hello This is my first post ever!I live in Erie,Pa and I have a 98LSC with 94000 and its black with factory crome wheels. I introduce my self more later any ERIE Craigslist TODAY 1995 mark will what they claim a new engine anyone interested? I am almost computer dumb so be patient with me guys.
