Hey guys,
I did some searching and did not find what I was looking for... I have a project coming up and need/would like to remove the chrome trim around the quarter glass and front door. I know that the quarter window chrome trim is integral to the window. I believe to remove that window, you remove the interior trim and the window is bolted to the car and sealed with glue... I also know that the chrome trim going on the front door from the rear of the door to the side view mirror just pops off, but how hard is it to remove the trim that goes from the mirror up and around to the top of the window?

Thanks for any help!

Yeah Dan, remove the inner side panels and you'll see how the back window is in and I don't think any glue is involved, not that I know of. As for the other chrome trim, never have tried removing that. Been wondering where you were.

To get that chrome off you have to remove inner door panel, window channel which comes out by removing 2 6mm black bolts with big washers on sheet metal behind the door, mirror then drill out the pop rivets holding the piece to the door. Did it a couple months ago so it is still somewhat fresh in my feeble 60 year old brain. No big job. Thanx Bruce

Didn't document that with pics....did you?

Correct, you also pull the mirror. 2 rivets behind it as well. I think I have a few pictures on my phone. You won't have to take the window channel all the way out, when you remove the 2 bolts at the bottom of the door you'll be able to slide the whole thing downward allowing you to drill out the rivets.
