Everyone!!!

94 Mark VIII- Bought for $3200-Recently changed plugs, and have Spring Conversion planned- 158k + miles. Working on engine problem right now, so not driving, but planning on changing the Fuel Filter, and Spark Plug Wires, so should be up and running soon! Other mods planned are 17 inch wheels-

I wish my drivers side door still looked like that...... i cant wait for the day i find the one who did me dirty.....:shifty:
 
i bought mine with 74,900.. in end of september... now it has 75,400.. dumped several thousand into her already.. and more as time goes on.. haha

i'll drive her more in the summer.. i promise
 
I bought my red Mark about 7 years ago with 95k miles on it. It has 195k miles on it now.

I bought the green Mark about 4 years ago with 146k miles on it. It has 175k miles on it now.

O man, that is so Philadelphia-i am outside the city, and if i have a job inside i take my daughters olds intrigue (clean, 3.5, boring) instead of my mark just for that reason. It is so regular an occurance there that it is ignored by residents and police. what part of the city did it happen?
If it happened to me, I'd scour the area for survilence footage...that really suck$.
 
I'm still looking for the flea bad that popped my car while I was waiting at a stop light. Had thousands in the car and sold it last weekend for a whopping $700, at least the guy is going to try and fix it and said he'll bring it over to my house when he's done.

Market st center city. I went back there for videos and they wouldnt allow me to see......bull ish...im still pissed and i gotta look at it every time i get into my car...im thinkin this is why ive had a headache for 3-4 days
 
What happened to your car was a hit and run - a criminal act! Did you inform the philly police? Its their job to look at the CCTV footage and get the bugger!

my dumb a$$ didnt call them.......i just alo realized ive had a major headache since that dreadful day...knowing i should have done more....but now i have to live with it...till i find that bleeper...:shifty:.....i will find him. my baby was dang near perfect. now she is looked upon with pity and disgust...and its my fault.:(

I'm at about 213,000 miles.
I just took it on a 2,000 mile drive up the East coast and averaged better than 25mpg.

...but other than the engine and rear end, I don't have too many original parts left. Right now, I still have a slight leak in the IMRC that's driving me crazy, I just don't want to go through the effort of the swap again.

The car has really been a commitment. I don't think I can remember there ever being a period where there wasn't something that needed repair in my five year of ownership. It's been a never ending, and at times exhausting, list. I've invested so much, it's too expensive to sell.
 
Ive had my Mark since midway through last summer. It now has about 94,000 miles on it. The engine is fine and the trans shifts good, but the winter has been exposing a few problems.

My doors freeze shut, I suspect bad weather seals, and today my drivers door came open while I was driving, and I couldnt get it to shut again! I played with the door lock, forcing it back and forth for a while, then it worked again. I really have no idea why this would happen?

My gas cap was frozen in place when I tried to fill up today.
And the heat/ac blower doesnt blow very hard.

So far on the car I have replaced the outer tie rods, sway bar bushings, and upper control arms. Done a full tune up, new o2s, and I have the LMS dual XXpipe and Xpansion II mufflers.
I will have to get rid of the air struts come summer too.
Overall I still really like the car, but for $3500 I think I overpayed.

Ditto that! Lol. Owned mine since March last year and have done quite abit. Had 102K when i got it, got 108K now. The 'to do' list just seems to get bigger and bigger. My next job is to throw my refurbed headlights back in, swap my grille for one i just painted and sling the front clip back on. Got one of them Ebay HID kits on way too. It will be nice to have headlights i can see with again! Last time i drove the car (December) i got a 200 dollar fine for speeding on an unlit highway - i just couldn't see the signs! Kinda lost enthusiasm for the car since. :( Still, be all good soon! :)

Lol! Hey! I Have to blame something other than myself! - its the American way! Should file a law suit against the signs and the headlights as i believe they conspired against me! :D Seriously though, the lights were awful.
 
well as i pulled in front of my house i cranked 245.000 as she sits for five minutes....
