my buddy adam picked up a 91 mustang lx and as i was pulling into my shop this morning he was pulling out in a volvo, he says hey want to line up with a mustang i bought, i said what mustang, he says a little 91 fox body, of course i said yeah i'll line up so i pull into my shop and he comes and tells me to look at it.
i walk over to his shop and see this white 91 lx with welds, never saw that before right!! but he starts it up and of course typical mustang v-8 sound, i open the pass side door and look in and see a short throw shifter with a 6 speed handle on it, i said what the hell is that b.s , he says what b.s? i said the 6 speed handle its no 6 speed.
he then procedes to show me, 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th, and a 6th, i said where is reverse? he pushes it up a little from 6th and shoves it over more to reverse, i was like cut the s--t!
so he says here take it for a ride, well after stalling it 4 times trying to get it rolling i finally get going and i see a boost gauge on the column, i was like is this turbo'd? he just laughs and tells me to nail it so i did.
well let me say that i nailed first, barked 2nd and smashed 3rd and we were just shy of 100 mph with 3 gears left still and i had a load creeping down my anal canal. the only time i took my eye off the road was one time in 3rd to see the boost gauge at 18 psi. this car is soooooooooooooo retarded i am not talking up to sound cool, i was scared like a little bitch in this thing, the car has tons and tons of money dumped into. all you have to do is get under it and look around to see.
the people who put the motor and trans in have the car safe tuned and it still made 597 hp at the wheels, its a 347 stroker and the trans is mounted to a custom billet bellhousing, its a 6 speed from a dodge viper. on the safe tune it ran 3 low 6 second passes in the 1/8 on monster drag radials and easily pulls the tires off the ground on the street. it made mt car feel like a 1981 volkswagen golf, what a ride my god!!
i will upload 2 pics i took of it.

Loves me a blown Fox. They are just so damn raw! No safegaurds like ABS or traction control. Minimal sound deadning. They let you feel and hear it all!

Making that kind of HP I hope its not still the stock block. Those split the valley at that power level and I have watched it first hand more then once.

Ive never driven a Fox that could lift its front tires off the ground but I rode in one. I had stains in the front and back of my shorts.

i'm not joking when i say i was scared, just because of that, how raw it is, rides like ass, you can hear and feel everything, but all it wanted to do was push me through the seat into the back, the pull was unlike anything i have ever felt, once the turbo started making boost, which is pretty quick, it ripped me back so hard in the seat i could barely push in the f-ing clutch lmao. and its not a stock block the entire motor is a built crate motor its not a fancy car by all means, it is a little rough here and there, but a street car killer it sure is, he was taking it to the track tonight and wanted me to go but i had to pull a motor out i couldnt go. it sure felt awesome to drive something again that scared me, its been a long long time. the last car i drove that left stains was my neighbor mike back up in mass had a 72 olds 442 w-30 stage one 455 with a rock crusher 4 speed that would snap your neck instantly. that car had so much torque that 2 different times it sheared a rear wheel off the axle, it just snapped all the studs off clean!!

Nice! My untuned (for now) Vortech 306 puts a big smile on my face when I drive it so I can just imagine how that car feels.

if he goes to the track again next week i will go and bring the camera so i can video it, i have been in many foxes, even owned one and this car is just stupid fast!

The fastest car I have driven is a Crown Vic with a Vortech in the 12s. I was pretty giggidy goo goo driving that thing. I can't imagine your experience. I'm sure the car you drove is in the 10s at least. I'm jealous! :D

A strong running turbo car is an impressive ride to say the least. Assuming it has traction, the acceleration is highly addictive. MUCH different than any centrifugal supercharger!
