Drilling Through The Firewall?(Big 3 Upgrade)

I am trying to upgrade my big 3 with 0 gauge wire and from the alternator to the battery I have to drill through the firewall cause i cant find a hole already made on the firewall thats big enough. So where is the best spot to drill through the firewall? If anybody has already done the big 3 on the Ls. Btw I have 2004 ls V6

Why not run it under the car instead, back to the spare tire/battery compartment and drill a hole around there?

Just run it where the factory cables go. It's usually easier to make an existing hole larger than it is to drill a new one.

Kinda dangerous to run it under the car. Suppose you hit a speed bump or pot hole and pinch the cable against the bottom of the car.

alternator ----> batt

batt negative ----> ground

engine block ----> ground
