So today on my way to work I noticed that during WOT into 2nd, I felt the engine backoff before shifting into 2nd, then full power again. Is this a normal behavior? I wasn't spinning the tires so I'm not sure if traction control would play into this...

I haven't done many WOT runs yet because I have yet to change out the oil in the car, run seafoam, etc.

Thanks

The car pulls timing at tip in and gear change. Its a torque reduction feature in the code to help the trans shift smoother and last longer.

Gotcha. I suppose this feature can't be turned off with a tune, can it? Thanks for answering all my Q's, Laser. You are the man.

Yup. You can command full tq at WOT shifting and can remove the tip-in retard. Hell you can even advance it at tip in like the Z2 computers do. All other Marks pull a couple degrees where the Z2 throws like 21* added to tip in.
