Differential Help!

I just got a gasket for my differential but idk if that is the problem now that i jacked the car up and looked at it...:confused:
can somebody help me?

I just use silicone between the cover and case, I don't even know if there is an actual gasket...
 
Thats not that bad of a replacement on these cars. Also where did you get the gasket? When I changed the fluid in my 03 Cobras it just had the gray silicon on it and thats what I used to reseal it. I would just use silicon. Important thing is to let it cure for 24 hours before you refill the diff.

Good time for a Trac Loc :D
 
I can see myself making an awful mess with the silicone sealant....
 
The Mark has plenty of room to work back there unlike the Cobras so no problem with making a mess as you have room to work.
I would suggest getting the Ford gray silicone but the red or blue RTV should be fine as well. It is important to let it cure for 24 hours after re-assembly before you put fluid back in the diff.
