different 1st gen grille

This car has been for sale for a loong time, at least 6-7 months but at first it had a broken grille in his first few ads then he must have found a replacement and took a new picture. But does anyone else notice this grille has no Lincoln emblem in the center? I've never seen one without it and I know you can't remove the emblem, short of cutting the entire thing out and having an empty space in the middle.

The grille appears to be the factory shape and size too, just without the emblem..unless the dude photoshopped the picture. I sent him an email a while ago asking if he could take another up close pic of it but never got a response..has anyone else ever seen a grille like this?

I counted the amount of slats and there are 20 on his, and on a stock grille there are 32, 33 including the center bar with emblem...so that can't be the case, plus his grille appears to have wider than normal slats..so I don't know, but I kind of like the that grille looks.

It doesn't look THAT bad, I've seen some pretty ugly butchered mark viii grilles before, and this one looks pretty stock looking, maybe worse up close though.
