Detailing under the hood. PICS

well now 02l;kqhg;lahdslh has the best christmas present ever, a running markviii!!!!! (even if it is a gen 1, right torque) LOL

Now I can drive it to the junk yard instead of towing...LOL.

Stuck ring, maybe, never had that happen. All I know is when I went to initially start it something was wrong. I took it back apart to inspect but everything seemed normal. Compression test showed the #2 issue. Cranking with plugs out wasn't goig to hurt anything.

Actually oilling it, letting it sit, then it seemed to be better does kinda fit. What causes a stuck ring ??

Ahhh the smell of burning oil and fresh paint, yummy.

Congrast Jason... It was all me I sent the Christmas Elves to fix your Mark VIII... You know if it would have been a Gen II the damn thing would be on its way to the junk yard.. LOL..

Finally...done for the most part.

Just have to wire the water pump and I have a new Cold Air Box idea I'll be making and installing.

I did the spark plug wires different than before, I didn't like the wide spacing of the original ones I bought, these are the stock looms.

I was gonna buy some of those plug covers......

but with the OBD2/COP swap, I'm gonna have to find some to fit those.

They make tons of different kinds for the COPs as you probably know. If you really liked them you could do the 96OBD2 and skip the COP.

Nope same ones as in earlier pics, just look alot different when loomed tighter. They are Ford Racing 9mm. Oddly all the writing is faced down.

Congrats on getting the car running again... must feel good to be able to drive it again.

That IS an idea.....

But I'm gonna stick with the COP setup. I like the uncluttered look.
