D4 or D5

I believe D5 for fuel efficiency at any time.

And D4 is for douche driving at any time.
 
Guess I'm a douche then. I drive in D4 under 40mph in town. My car has a hard time deciding what gear it wants to be in when I leave it in D5 while in town.
 
I do the exact same jolinc. But ever since I reset my transmission and re-learned the idle trims I've noticed I feel the need to put it in D4 alot less. Feels hell of a lot more decisive
 
I noticed D4 has smoother, less noticeable shifts. I usually always drive in D5 anyways. Question, is D5 basically overdrive? Is overdrive a real gear?
