Well I finally went to get my car tuned for the smaller pulley and the meth injection kit. Belt was slipping bad once it started to make above 6PSI I thought the old belt was fine but I guess not the mot it put out was 7.7PSI so I need to get a smaller belt maybe upgrade my tensioner. They were also have some problems cause my rear 02 sensors are bad I replaced the front ones when I did the headers but never the rear ones. Then when they tryed to tuned it for the Meth it would go from like 12:1 AFR to like 10:1 and it was running way too rich, so I don't know if the nozzle sizes I got aren't right or wuts going on with that they said they usually use the Snow Performance kits when they do meth so if I can't figure this thing out when I call on Monday I may changes over to a Snow Per progressive controller. Finally my oil pan was leaking all over the place so its time to change that son if anyone has a used one with noe rust please let me know I really want to get one of those ones Canton makes that Summit claims fit our cars and the Tbirds but I'm gonna have to take some measurements and call to get the dimensions of it. So my car ended up making a max of 312hp and 285ft lbs which is a 1hp gain and a 16ft lb gain not very good but thats with my belt slipping and some bad out sensors

My belt was slipping at first also with the 3.33 pulley we just tightened it more. With the low amounts of boost we run we do not need progressive controllers. So I think something else is wrong. if it is pumping to much it will bog a little when it kicks in. The computer should adjust the fuel accordingly. Rob runs a progressive one but he is running 18 psi. Give him a call he can probably help you figure out the problem. I wish you were close enough to bring it to Barry's Garage.

I have a perfect pan available now. Not a hint of rust or dammage.

Also your tuner shouldnt need the rear O2s for anything and can shut them off in the tune. Thats what I did for my car since I wanted to use a bung for my wideband.
It does sound like you are spraying too much meth due to a nozzel thats too large. You should be making closer to 350is with meth and 7.7lbs of boost.

On a 98* day my old car made 334 rwhp at 7.7 psi with no intercooling.

on moday I'm gonna call about the meth and see what they think, I'm not sure why the 02 sensors mattered unless it was for the idle os something I don't really know much about tning so I can't really give any other details. As for the oil pan I'll get back to you on that I want to take some measurments and see if that Canton one will fit but if not or I'm just to lazy to figure that out I'm definatly interested in that pan.

How did you tighten the belt with did you just use a smaller belt? I would like to upgrade the tensioner but the only upgrades ones I'm seeing are from Thumper racing and they're close to $400 so I don't know about that.

Your car with those mods should be making much more power with boost, even if the belt was slipping.

I did have belt slip with a Gates belt. When I switched to a Goodyear Gatorback all the slip went away.

I don't know I might fix the few things I listed there and maybe try a different tuner, the guy that I went to the last few times seemed like he knows wut he's doing and he even let me take his truck down to advanced the get parts to fix my brake line on the dyno the last time but I guess that doesn't'really make him any better at tuning

I think I need to call about the meth kit and figure that out but still don't know about the belt tension definetly gonna get a smaller belt and I heard in 99 that ford changed the tensioner from aluminum to steel and it's supposed to be stronger but I don't know that it has anymore tension

the answer is in your answer...how did his truck run?

I dont know if thats true. I can remember the joke that the mechanic has the worst running car because he is to busy working on other peoples and just wants to get away from the garage for his off time.
