The actuators are controlled by relays located in the plastic tray at the top of the trunk, just behind the rear seatback. The suspension computer cycles them shortly after startup, probably as a self-test procedure. I sometimes noticed them clicking on my '93. It's 100% normal and harmless.
They adjust the valving in the shock to provide a counter-measure to the front end dive that happens when you hit the brakes.MediumD said:What/how exactly did these actuators adjust? The old shocks from my 94 are long gone, but it didn't seem like there was anything on the top but a normal stud.
