Considering new/used LS wheels..

there's a guy in my area selling the rims, tires from his 2001 LS (totalled) he says they are factory 17''..and the tires are 245s...I'm thinking about putting these on my '96 mark...how about it???

Those might look okay on a Mark VIII. But you'll need spacers so they won't be tucked way under the fenders.

Not only that, I'm not convinced they'll fit up front without spacers. I know the 16s will, but the 17s are a little wider.

I'm 100% sure you will need spacers to fit 17 LS wheels on the front of your marks.

Sorry to hate but those things look boring as hell..why not just find some octastars or something..or if you want something different this guy is selling his wheels off of his LS, I think they would look sweet on a mark viii, once again they would need spacers though..they are 45mm offset and 7.5" wide.

those are nice, and a fair price... shipping cross country and new 18'' tires may be a deal-breaker though..thanks for all the input on the LS chromes, they're off the table....it's kinda hard to replace the factory 10 spokes- b/c they're not ugly...

I get the feeling you are getting impatient. Relax... Don't just buy wheels to buy wheels. Save up & get the right set! There are some nice wheels in the customwheelshop.com & also on ebay.

that's a big 10-4 (good buddy), actually the dude selling the Eagles pulled them off his WINDSTAR......I gotta remember that if i don't want it (mediocre wheels), it's worthless...gonna do the dual exhaust with Flowmasters and HID with new housings mods first

Those AR Mavericks would look sick on a mark. You'll eventually find a nice set you'll be happy with, just don't cheap out with rims. Last thing you want is to buy a cheap $300-$500 set and in a few months or year they start peeling or something like that.
thecustomwheelshop.com --> has some pretty sweet wheels for a mark, or if your not happy with the selection of wheels made for the marks bolt pattern you could hub swap to mustang hubs, put on some GT brake calipers and rotors, and have a really huge array of rims to pick from.

The mavericks look very nice....they are on a vivid red LS on our side of the forum.

Also look at Volvo wheels. Several of us run the Volvo Xc90 Sport (Vulcanis) wheel but they are pricey unless you find them for a good deal or get replicas.

Most Volvo wheels are only 7" wide though, the the Vulcanis being an 8" wide set.

No. Don't do that. Leave 4 bolt wheels for the Hondas. Buy 5 lug wheels. Those aren't that cheap anyway.

Facepalm.

Those are 4 lug aftermarket cobra rs intended for the fox mustang/Thunderbird/cougar...why on earth would you ever hub swap a mark viii to 4 lug hubs?? I don't even know if its possible to do that..but if you were to go through the trouble of hub swapping you might as well go with the sn95 hubs which are 5x4.5 which has the greatest variety of wheel choices.
