coil conversion questions

for some reason i can't get the info I'm looking for using the search function. what wire and where is it to disable the check air ride light. also any idea how much to cut the coils to drop 1.5 inches and please no you should never cut a coil spring comments

iirc for the rears a whole coil is around 1.5"..Not sure about the fronts.

o.k. is there an easy way to shut off the air ride warning, i can't see to unplug the connector. it is so crammed in there if i could unlatch the plug i could do it but I'm having no luck

the air ride module is held in with one screw, take it out then you can pull the module out to access the wires easier, its really not hard if you just take the time to look and see what you are doing. is it really that difficult?


cut the wire. its the gray plug in the air ride module,dark green wire with a light green stripe. pin # 12. if you clicked on either link that martin put above you could have seen it for yourself thats why he gave you 2 links.

i saw both links but my eyesight isn't what it was i will look for the screw you were talking about. that's what i needed didn't know how it was secured

when you are looking in at the module like the picture above, the screw is half way up the module on the right side, towards the pass front seat, it is either gonna be a phillips screw, or a 7 mm bolt they used both. the other side of the module has a wing on it that slips into a slot in the structure of the car, so once the screw is removed, gently pull the module towards the pass front seat and it will come out of its location.

i got it! once i knew how it was mounted it was easy. matter of fact if i could have seen the wires next to it to verify its location i wouldn't have needed to remove it. thanks guys
