Clear blinker corners??

So I ventured into the LS section and was scrolling through and found a guy Alax7, that is making clear blinker corners and such for the LS. I asked about a clear corner for the Mark. the orange doesn't look so bad on my car because I have accented different areas with orange and gold, so it all kinda flows together. But I know there are some guys here with Marks that would look great with a clear corner. Would anyone be interested??

Does anyone have a close up pic of a gen 1 corner light? Is the outside lens clear or amber?

If I remember, the outside is Orange...2nd Gens have them inside though and I'm planning on taking the Orange reflector out and repace the bulbs with amber LEDs
 
The amber on a Gen1 is the outside part of the lense. It would look great to have a clear lense, but just so you know, the amber is part of DOT stuffs and you can be ticketed if a cop noticed (check your local and state laws)

Not sure how your city works but where I live, you get ticketed, lets say for window tint. You say "fukk the police" and pay the fine. Ok, they pull you over again for the same thing and then the ticket is doubled or tripled and then you say "fukk the police" and pay that big ass fine and then if pulled over again, not sure about there but around here it would be jail time or a fine so big, you could buy a few Mark VIII's with that kind of money.

I'm juss sayin, you can only say "fukk the police" so many times although, most of us say it everyday. Anyway, I really don't mind the amber colored lens that much but have thought about doing other things with it. That's one thing I know I could get by with here. They are only hard pressed about tinted windows but what can you do....

Like Sapper said, it is part of the DOT but only certain places really adhere to that law because of the way cars are changing. Just put a yellow LED behind the clear lens and I really don't see what the problem is. I would like to see someone take a Gen 1 corner lens and make it clear though. I bet they'll think that one over twice before doing it again.
 
Gen 1: Remove corner lenses, vacuum form with acrylic, cut acrylic, cut corner lenses, seal acrylic to housing, place yellow LEDs and there ya go

Problem is, with most people, life keeps getting in the way...reason why I'm living in a hotel with my wife and kids next to a new fabrication/welding job and just got enrolled in school for operations management...
 
Ya if someone were to go through the trouble of making a custom corner lenses, you might as well make the lense clear instead of checkered or whatever you call it..
