I am thinking about getting this so if anyone (Laser) has an opinion, it would be appreciated.

Preamp voltage is very low at 2v. 4.5v to 5.0v would be much better. It is a good price though but the one Laser has for sale would be the better choice IMO. Used but there has to be a reason why they have it knocked down that low.

People used to really like Clarion but it has fallen a lot in the past few years. Laser is more into Pioneer head units and I'm more into Kenwood eXcelon line but I suppose we all have our preference.
I also have to buy a DD head unit and it will be a Kenwood eXcelon. I'm not going for the navigation stuff either. I never travel anywhere enough to be navigated lol. The head unit I'm getting alows you to change the colors to match the interior lighting color. Only $224.00 for it new but that's what I want.

Looks like a decient deck. Clarions are not bad decks and have decient sound quality. Clarion screens used to be the hands down worst but maybe they have gotten better. Their iPod controll is the slowest though. That deck has a fairly slow processor so boot time will suffer and there will be a delay betwen pressing a button and something happening. For the price its a good deck, better then the generic $400 decks out there with the same features.

My Eclipse is a much much better deck. SOmeone made and offer and I accepted but he hasnt emailed me back yet if he still wants it so not sure if its still for sale or not.

I do like Pioneer the best but the ones in that price range are not too hot. Also 2V output doesnt matter like it used to if you are gonna run a new amp. New amps input stages are more effecient then ever and 5-10v signals are no longer needed to have a good S/N ratio.
