Total cost was $75....$55 for the Hoens and $20 for the bulbs off flea bay. Very happy with the results. The Hoens look much closer to the low beams but they still dont have a perfect color match. But they are much easier to install and require no splicing of wires or mods.

The chrome bulbs look amazing too for the price. Love the clear look. And yes my car is dirty. We had two tornadoes with tons of rain yesterday and having a :q:q:q:qed up fender takes away motivation for cleaning the car.

My interior is clean though. And im almost done with lighting mods. Already installed trunk and reverse leds. Still need to install the trunk led and the puddles. The interior will be staying incandescent for now. Next thread i make with mods will have my car looking much different....

I like. Staying with Halogen myself. Have the links to share?

sure.

Here are the 9005 Hoens i used:

Our cars don't need an adapter since the bulbs run at 65w and our factory bulbs are 60w.

And the chrome bulbs are just some generic ones i pulled off ebay search for chrome 3157.

hope they last for ya

Did you have some issues with the chrome or the hoens?

I did wipe off all oil from the bulbs before i put them back in.

Chrome bulbs was my first mod ever. I still have my original 4 after almost 4 years and being switched between ls's they still work great. Love them

I have the chrome bulbs and have been very happy with the look, and like the different color of the amber when on than stock.

I had chrome bulbs and I think they look the best. I switched to LED so my angel eyes wouldn't flash when I blinker with my running lights off.

I don't trust those car ports with the weather that just came threw but then again nothing can stop a tornado. Did you guys get a lot of hail in your area?

Not really. The pieces we got were small pieces.

And yes nothing will stop a tornado. You can park in the open and a tornado will pick up another car and throw it onto yours.

I saw those apartments in Arlington that got heavily damaged and yeah the carport got ripped apart and the vehicles under it got damaged but so did the vehicles on the other side. And they were damaged even worse.

We were lucky to get nothing here. Not even a single dent on my car.

Yeah I felt bad for some guy I can't remember where but two cars from across the street landed in his living room, crazy!. He was at work & no one got injured.

Looks good man it's a very subtle change to go to the chrome bulbs but it cleans up the tail lights like no other.

tint the rear lights , looks bad ass on black cars

i got chrome bulbs as well and i love the look ( pic above is prior to bulbs change)

Those look good man, especially the rears.

We just have to wait and see better pics when the car is all done up.

Looks good. Little mods go a long way when they all add up.

Thanks for the comments.

Things are starting to come together. I have much more planned but funds arent all these when i need them.

i like your tires by the way lol, i had a brand new set when i bought the car, its time to replace them now however :/

New pics with puddles and trunk light!

Used a dremel on this one and it was way too sloppy. Sealed it up with some clear sealant.

I used Alax's method on this one but i used smaller pliers and worked around the edges gently until it was loose....just enough to pull off and it came out clean and oem looking when sealed back up.

LED array from vleds, 8 watts of power.

And the finished puddle. yes these are very bright even in the day...extremely happy. Did not use resistors as they will turn themselves off after a short while and they draw minimal amounts of power.

The dim glow from the puddles after they turn off looks badass anyways. Gives it a supercar look.

Interesting.. my puddles have no glow. Good work though, finally doing some cool mods :D

Order all of those from VLED? How much they all run. Looking to do the same. I went with superbrightled.com last time. Not bad but had some issues with the L. Plate bulbs
