after all the help you guys gave i think actually my car is outta time which leads me to believe that the cam sensor is bad....going to change it tommorrow, but i need your help, i need some instructions and a tool list...everyone thanks for all the help, now help me with this....thanks in advance :give :feed :L :Bang

Cam sensor is a piece of cake. Located behind the power steering reservoir. Remove the PS reservoir, leaving the hoses attached, push aside reservoir and pull one retaining bolt for the sensor.

Inspect the harness very carefully, they are known to go bad at the harness connector to the sensor. Look for a weak point in the wire just at the connector.

got the sensor out, no prob, gotta wait until 3 for the part then re install, icleaned the comp.contacts again and re installed chip, tonight we'll see whats going on, if i get the same result, can you have the timing checked and set on a mod motor?....next step o2 and cats, i haven't got around to gutting em yet cause i am trying to find the prob and get her running first, maybe i should just trade her in on a 2003 cobra or mach 1 LOL......or maybe go back to GM with a T/A or a new GTO LOL.....just frustrated thats all! :L :Bang :Bang :Bang :Bang :Bang :Bang

Please dont pay them 275 to do your O2s.
Its not THAT hard.We can walk you through it no problem.
The plugs are normally 65 a piece from auto zone.
While you have the exhaust off to gut the cats its cake to do the passenger side ( cause the pipe it screws into is off the car) and the driver side just needs a little patience and a 7/8ths crows foot.
You can pick up a whole set of crows feet at Harbor freight or any cheap tool place for about 10 bucks.

yeah chris your right, i already decided to buck up and change em myself....i gotta get the time, hopefully this week...BTW have you had the same prob with your mark or marks, do you think the MAF could be bad?....well gotta get some o2 sensors and would you stay with copper or platinum plugs?

Yes I had a very similar problem and the O2/gut cat thing worked on one and on another one the new plug wires helped and the O2/ gut cat thing made it perfect.
